The Platts and the Websters seemed to grow apart as the years went by. Gail and Sally still interact now, but I don't think they're as pally as they used to be. When Martin returned briefly, he and Kevin didn't interact and they were best mates. And David has the odd scene with Rosie and Sophie, but nothing comes off it.
@@undisclosedidentity9893 that's correct. And also Christmas 2008, when Tina thought Rosie and David were having an affair, and David said 'No, we are just mates'
I always wondered why David and Rosie didn't have at least a passing romance. Their friendship all through the years was pretty much completely forgotten about.
@@Tad1945 Yeah I remember that but I always thought given how close David and Rosie were as kids and teenagers. Why they just abandoned and never acknowledged there friendship, I think it actually would've been sweet if they ended up together at least at some point had a deep romance. However I do think after Rosie and Craig were together and Craig ran away that the character Rosie didn't actually lose her depth but choose to bury it, so as never to be hurt that deeply again her and Craig did have an epic romance, I think it affected the Rosie character so badly that her subconscious swore off deep thinking and emotions forever. She never really took anything seriously after Craig it was like she wasn't capable because of what happened and how Craig just ran away and disappeared. If they ever bring Rosie back I would love to see them get the actor back to play Craig and give those characters their closure.
