You know what, even before this, I thought Geoff was scary, and this really solidified it... This scene was actually terrifying, well done Ian and Shelley (the actors), amazing job 👏
When she says "I just want you to love me like you used to" I almost burst out crying. Yasmeen is a beautifully kind person and I can't handle her being treated like this. I hope she won't have to suffer for killing Geoff. :(
@@luketube7207 I never thought anyone could be worse than Pat Phelan, but Geoff takes the cake. The actors better get an award for this because this was probably the most emotional thing I've seen in a soap
Well yes she is a completely genuine person and she's been hurt before and lost so many people including her only son Kal. Geoff then comes in and destroys any confidence and self-esteem it is so upsetting. I think Sally will be on her side she knows Yasmeen despite their differences and she knows Yasmeen would never intentionally attack anyone unless in self-defence. Good luck convincing Tim though. Geoff is his dad and of course Tim has never been the sharpest tool in the shed :) but this scene was so satisfying beyond belief, very uncomfortable viewing but rewarding for this moment here.
I shouted at the TV "Go on Yasmeen" best moment of tonight's episode. U gotta give it to both actors though they both did amazing and my heart truly breaks for Yasmeen 💔
As much as Geoff is a horrible, sick man, the close ups and lit up face of the actor REALLY lends to this scene. The echoing voice and droning sound also do as well. For a soap, this segment is INCREDIBLY well done. Really, Ian Bartholomew deserves an award for the acting in this. So does Shelley King!
i know he’s likely not going to survive, but i hope he does, so that he has to ‘live out his crimes’ so to speak. i want him to feel like he made yasmeen feel
@@hystericalwolf I disagree completely, death is too easy... Criminals need to live in order to suffer. Other wise they wouldn't be suffering while dead.
Have we seen this years soap "villain of the year" winner? Amazing how this character has developed in a short period from happy and chirpy DJ into an abusive, vindictive and violent husband.
I haven't been this thrilled by a villains comeuppance since Pat Phelan, it's about time we had another real villain and Geoff is twice the bad guy Gary will ever be
@@thatonefruitthatistasty708 mate i was telling Ken Barlow that i think everyone knows because theres no need for him to say that because we can talk about it
The acting in that scene was amazing and terrifying at the same time, they both played the part so well and apparently they get on so well when they’re not filming just comes to shoe you hoe amazing these actors truly are ❤️
Corrie absolutely smashed this episode. It was the most disturbing 30 minutes I’ve watched in a long time. Both actors have done an amazing job raising awareness. I’ve been in this position myself - and the way they have slow burned it is so true to life!
I love how Corrie made us like his character before all of this tbh it really showed how it truly is, most people like this are likeable to everyone else but her granddaughter never liked him you always get one person who doesn’t like them so I really like how they did it it’s actually been done pretty well
He doesn't deserve to live. Anyone who mentally and physically abused their partner and is attacked to that extent for it doesn't deserve the air they breathe.
That was hard to watch but my god that was brilliantly acted from both of them!! Geoff has had that coming for a VERY long time!! Think the whole nation stood up and applauded when Geoff got stabbed!! Cathy, and Brian should be ashamed of themselves speaking about Yasmin like she's the criminal in all of this!! Funny how when something trivial happens on the street i.e. fights, residents sticks their noses in but when a murder happens nothing!!
I know only too well unfortunately - the mental abuse is horrendous and some of these abusers say that as long as they don’t physically harm it’s it’s ALL good - well the mental sometimes turns into physical too and that’s what makes it even more scary!! Brilliant acting best I’ve seen on any soap in years 💯
*In an ideal world it should be made law to tell you're being abused, that way the victim wouldn't have to put up with this type or behaviour and the abuser wouldn't feel the urge to do it.*
I hope he doesn't get killed off. Nearly every villain in soaps gets killed off. I want Geoff arrested and locked up for life. A proper happy ending for Yasmeen. She deserves that at least.
Geoff and Yasmeen, was similar to Trevor and Little Mo from Eastenders. Geoff was a calmer less violent version of Trevor. Yasmeen and Little Mo were similar as well, both innocent soft women, which made them easy targets. Both terrorised for months, and finally snapped and attacked their husbands, both went to prison. The only difference is, everyone knew Little Mo attacked Trevor in self defence, Coz all of the Square knew what Trevor was like. Everyone on the street just saw Geoff, as an innocent good guy and Tim's soft dad, except for Alya.
If the police go through his phone and find that CCTV app they will see that he cornered he with a knife P.S. Ian and Shelley’s acting in this episode was phenomenal they both deserve an Oscar
First off, this was an incredible scene. This is truly the zenith of the whole storyline. I might be in the minority saying this, but I can't help but wonder if this truly happened, or if Yasmeen was having a mental breakdown due to months and months of the abuse Geoff has given her. It's possible the show wanted to throw us a curveball by having us assume Geoff said all of those things to her. When the scene changed to Yasmeen's point of view (around 2:35), it made me think about that possibility. Notice how at 3:12, it doesn't look like Geoff's really threatening her, but simply walking to the kitchen to get something before she hits him and then stabs him. However, from her point of view, he clearly was about to strike her with his knife. Ultimately, this scene worked because it leaves you wondering what'll happen next. You're convinced that Yasmeen acted in self-defense, but as I mentioned previously, what if she was hallcuinating everything? I think all of this will come down to the hidden camera Geoff installed.
Unfortunately Yasmeen is now going to have flashbacks, nightmares and strong guilt for doing what she did. You could tell by her face after she did it that she acted out of pure fear and was completely unintentional. I can see the storyline turning to Yasmeen needing help to cope with the trauma now, between the abuse and the recurrent memory of stabbing Geoff. Sad, as neither was her fault, she acted out of shear fear. As for Geoff, a stab to the throat like that will kill you in minutes, so he's gone, that's definite.
Shame he didn't bleed to death, hateful character. To think there're scumbags similar or worse in the real world. Especially at a time like this, trapped with monsters like that.
OUR money!! OUR house!! How much money did he give to this relationship?! She already owned the house & most of Speed Dahl. Perhaps that was the idea:- drive her away or drive her to suicide then he'd own the house & most of the restaurant
