I'm glad you touched on the HRM more than other reviewers did and that you had more than just one person testing. I have found with Coros (I used to have the Apex 42mm and sold it off last year) the accuracy of the optical HRM varies significantly person to person. Some people have no issues at all (I have lots of friends who swear by it). I always had major issues with accuracy, massive spikes often in the first 2 miles of a run. Even in warm weather, on tight as possible (verging on uncomfortable). I tried everything. Accurate HRM is nearly as important to me as GPS accuracy. It's second most important. I was hoping Coros Pace 3 with the newer looking hardware had made it comparable to Garmin but I suspect this isn't the case.
I've ordered this one. I could not decide between the Coros Pace 3, Apex pro or Garmin. I hope I won't regret it. I don't care about the music as I never listen to it when I run. But the only thing that bothers me is not having a real turn by turn GPS with a map.
I was interested in coros pace 2 but Kofuzi in his new review of pace 3 has told that both have a delay in pace data which was the data I need most. Because I've already got a watch that is quite accurate but has a delay in pace and heart rate.
Thank you for the review. You mentioned Garmin 255 as a competitor. How's the display compared between the two? Which one is more readable, Garmin's 1.3Inch or Coros 1.2inch? I often find MIP displays quite dim indoors.
Good basic watch at a good price but Garmin is killing the game with all their watches. And Garmin puts their watches on sale. I like this watch for my track workouts. I will keep my Pace 3 (I like the retro teal color). I always run in 2 watches and this is replacing my Pace 2. Garmin Epix Pro and Suunto Vertical are my go to watches now.
Would have liked to hear you delve into potential battery longevity. After 2 years of use, my Pace 2 lost about 2/3 of its battery life. yeah, you read that right. Many others have had similar battery crashes just after the two year warranty is over. Some have speculated in coincides with updates and releases of new watches. Regardless of those conspiracy theories, it's disappointing. And they don't even recycle (let alone refurbish) their watches. Purely disposable.
Ok, so I can get a Place 3 for the same price as a Fenix 6. I am not a hard-core athlete, but I do like the looks of the Fenix. heart rate and GPS accuracy are kind of important to me, but not dealbreakers. Just not sure if the old technology that probably will not be supported much longer would be worth it versus the new technology. I have some history in the Garmin ecosystem, but I can always change. I know it’s a tough question, but help?
Hello all, thanks for the review, between coros pace 3 and kiprun 900 GPS, for a runner that want a good HR monitor in the watch both on the same price in my country, which will you choose? I see that coros pace 3 has new HR monitor the same as apex 2 pro, so I guess it has a better HR monitor, but the metal case in kiprun 900 looks better, but then really I want the better and precise in terms of monitoring, thanks in advance, regards
If you can get an Garmin 255 for the same price in the Sale, the Garmin would be my choice because of - Build quality - more accurate HR sensor - multisport support - ant+
Please add a disclaimer that you have a partnership with Coros. Feel free to correct me if i missed it (or why you think it isn't needed), but just as in the first impressions video you again do not disclose this potential conflict of interest. The partnership itself isn't a problem, but not even taking the 5 seconds needed to disclose it in a 25min video really undermines your credibility.
I don't think they do (maybe I missed something?), I know they have been setting up various things with YT channels, but lots of companies do that. They have basically said they are only going to send review products to channels that give them positive reviews, but again, not sure that is unique to them.

After the DC Rainmaker fiasco (basically they wrongly accused him of not giving an accurate review on their HR strap and the CEO was badmouthing him on social media), this company is effectively dead to me. Glad Garmin has some competition, but I will never buy one of their products.
@@Poutine-stratège-maladroitA ForeRunner 255 has a more solid build, and lower battery degradation than the Coros products. In West Europe I have seen it priced lower then the Coros 3.
