I love your videos and I’m a subscriber. With that said, I just went back to my Ultra 2. I would wear the whoop if it had airplane mode as I wore it on my bicep and was perfectly accurate only there. I’m a trainer at work but the other day I decided to work at a particular building and work all day like the other employees who had to clean, take out trash, do some different tasks. I decided to put a Cardio workout on my Garmin for about 4 hours and received a load of 100. Normally, when at work most people wouldn’t do that. So it goes to show you if I got a load of 100 in 4 hours and had decided not to put it on cardio I wouldn’t received any load until I got home and ran or went to the gym. If I did do that I would have almost doubled my load for the day or got to 150 load for the day. If someone works in a warehouse all day, works as a custodian, or even an intensive labor person like a construction worker this is why whoop would work best since it would count all those considerations for the day as it is based on strain. If I hadn’t put my workout in cardio or even thought of it then it would have just drained my body battery and not given me any credit. When I stopped it after 4 hours it gave 240 exercise minutes. I have it set on default for intensity minutes. Second, if it looks like your stress is high on whoop it will increase your strain and tell you to kind of take it easy so if you are planning to run when you got home now maybe you shouldn’t. There are also breathing exercises and videos to watch. There are also suggestions to improve your HRV. However, whoop has issues also. That’s why I’m done with these devices and will just listen to my body and go back to a smart watch.

Are those metrics available with coros heart rate monitor?

Super useful! I'm excited to test Coros again, it was too much to overlook when they were missing these basic features 🔥

Great video as always - thanks! You mentioned wearing reading glasses and the Coros screen- overall do you find an amoled screen easier to read with/without glasses than MiP or LCD? 🤔

to me the most important thing is accuracy. This is why I use my apple watch for sleep tracking despite owning an Epix Pro. The fleep tracking on it (paired with AutoSleep) is just more accurate from what I gather. As for lack of recommendations, I think most people know that poorer sleep or more stress means you should take it easy and focus on nourishing the body rather than stressing it more. Pretty common sense stuff.

Yes, agree, but a lot of the value of wearing a device for sleep tracking is for a comparative feedback on the severity or degree of needed rest, or additional sleep, relative to a baseline!

And yes that seems like a good approach, other than the mist HRV accuracy that the Apple Watch can't provide! Do you find that AutoSleep tracks naps? Someone mentioned that they do but I am not sure where it appears

@@fitgearhunter Autosleep does comparative via a “sleep score” so I know i’m over 95 on a good night, over 75 on an ok night, and anything below that means I should probably take it easy. I use HRV4Training and take a single morning reading a few mins after waking via the breath app on my apple watch. I also take a “morning snapshot with my Epix on my other wrist simultaneously”. HRV4Training spits out a score and provides its own recommendations. Ultimately I take all of these with a grain of salt and focus more on how I feel. I do hope the accuracy of Garmin will improve to the point where I feel comfortable using it for sleep, but I would probably still not love the idea of sleeping with a big bulky epix on my wrist…Coros is doing its own thing, interesting to see how this space evolves.

What about Polar?

Yes good point, I should have done a snapshot of them as well since they are very effective at providing directional feedback, I think in my effort to be brief I missed a good opportunity to highlight them! Thank you for pointing out
