Through our Corporate Social Responsibility Management System, we have identified twenty issues where Bachem substantially impacts the environment and society.
Efforts are local to our six sites in the US, Europe, and Asia. However, the Board of Directors has set global targets for four goals: By 2026, we will reduce energy consumption by 20% and Greenhouse Gas emissions by 50% per FTE. At the same time, we seek to increase the proportion of women in the workforce and management by 10% and reduce our Lost Time Incident Rate to 1.0. And, looking a bit further ahead, Bachem committed to achieving climate neutrality by 2030, contributing to the Paris Agreement on climate change, which combats global warming.
