Upon Darkness Distortion being teased last year (announced but with little info), it was further stated by Kedwin that II: Darkness Distortion and 2: Dead Patient are two entirely different titles, and that (via google translation:) "(“DP” is also in production after many twists and turns, so please look forward to that as well.)"

Guess there are 2 Corpse Party 2s now? Love the name, love the split box arts, love the attention to detail for physical editions. Hesitant on loving the switch to full 3D realistic proportions graphics, but I appreciate trying to elevate the series into a new direction even if it makes the flaws/budget constraints more visible. I'm at least open to it
Yes, someone already said, that Makoto Kdouin is still making the continuation of Dead Patient. So yeah, we will get 2 Corpse Party 2 (Kinda strange, but it is what it is, lol). Hope now he can focus on Corpse Party again.
Pardon me if I’m going to be extremely cautious about getting excited here… between the mess that was Blood Drive and the obscurity of this being related to Dead Patient… I want this to be good, but my expectations are sadly being kept low.
One of the BEST survival horror franchises out there, FINALLY, gets a brand new game! And it will even come with a Physical (It's been so long since a physical Corpse Party game!!) Special Edition too. Which is supposedly about $79.99, so it's a really great price considering that it is the "Special Edition". I don't understand why there aren't more games like the corpse party. It's been years and CP is the only one I have ever enjoyed playing they should make more, more more of this!
So excited to see the series revived! The 3D models kind of remind me of Ai: The Somnium files. Looks like the three characters in this trailer are Haruka, Nemu (white haired girl), and Maria. I’m curious to see if this title will opt for a smaller cast in comparison to the other games.
This is a real "slap in the face" for those who are still waiting for the conclusion of Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient... Only those who are crazy will pre-order this game, which may end up incomplete and abandoned, just like Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient
OMG! I'm so excited for Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion because i always love the Corpse party franchise since i was a child and i just recently play the first corpse party game and finish it again yesterday to just found out they are going to release a new corpse party game this year😆✨️
I just remind you that Corpse Party 2: Dead Patient does not come from the same company that created the original games. This Corpse Party 2 is made by the same GrisGris Team, the original creators, so we can now decanonize Corpse Party 2: dead patient.
This looks interesting, im not fully sold on how it looks atleast for now but i wanna see more about the plot, since its not related to DP but still, will be setting in a hospital, i wonder what spin they are looking for and if we are gonna meet old faces or new ones that are related to past events

Yeah... Well, Makoto Kedouin is been busy with Death End Re;Quest 2. So I just hope that with the release of that game, he can focus on Corpse Party franchise again.
The CP2 that’s out is only one chapter of what was meant to be an episodic game… which died on the vine, clearly. So it would seem this “II” replaces the existing aborted attempt at “2”. Both take place in a hospital and have similar-looking player characters, so I assume some of the ideas from the abandoned “2” will carry over.
There probably going to be some returning Corpse Party 1 characters to appear in this one but probably in a bonus chapter of the game as the new casts are the focus in this story

Yes!! I haven't played a Corpse Party game since the 3DS! I'm hyped for this and thank you Xseed I love you guys for keeping physical versions alive and PS4!! Definitely getting this later in the year.
It's just a teaser trailer, so it makes sense that there was little gameplay shown. We will have to wait for a gameplay trailer to see more of it! And I'm honestly still pretty HYPE either way!! 😁👍
This is a new game. Blood Driver was the last game of the original cast, and their story has already concluded. I don't think this game will have a connection to the original three games

While I'm glad we've finally left the old cast behind, I'm praying that this game is a success that will be talked about just as much as Blood Covered Repeated Fear.

I hope the story is more in the vain of Blood Covered. Blood Drive wasn't as appealing but I'm looking forward to seeing more! Corpse Party has always been one of my favourites.
Someone already said, that Makoto Kdouin (Creator of Corpse Party series) said, that this game is different from Dead Patient, and that Dead Patient is still in development (The continuation of Chapter 1, I mean). So yeah, I know it will be strange, but we will have 2 Corpse Party 2 😅 This one is been called "Corpse Party II", while Dead Patient will be called "Corpse Party 2".
