Hey Seth, I just want to take a break from jackaling to say thank you. My beloved cat of nearly seventeen years has taken a dramatic turn for the worse health-wise and probably doesn't have much time left. I just watched this episode of Corrections and yesterday's Andy Samberg segments to try to distract myself for a few minutes, and they provided some much-needed laughter in the midst of the tears. Sorry for your cat's health struggles and your upcoming loss! I've been helping my parents with their two senior dogs who are starting to lose ground against some chronic health issues and seeing them suffer can be so difficult. Trust yourself to know when it's time. Allowing pets to die with our best approximation of peace and dignity is one of the greatest gifts that we can provide them (and a vital responsibility as owners/caretakers). Remember the good times and trust that your cat will known the breadth of your love as they pass.

9:10 CORRECTION: Bingo does not work like Microsoft Excel. The numbers go in the boxes, each column having a range of possible numbers, and each bingo card having a random sampling within that range so that each card will be different - otherwise everyone playing would win bingo at the same time. Alternate forms of bingo, such as “debate bingo” do not use the “letter and number” combination, but rather have phrases in each square. Once the person says the words in the square, you can X out that box. The center square is typically a “free space”.

Thanks for pointing this out. It's a really important reason for those of us who have it. I never run across other Celiacs. It's good to know there's another one out there in Seth's audience. I hope it's going well! For those who don't know, Celiac Disease is genetic, lifelong, manageable but not curable. We must not ingest gluten which is a protein in wheat, rye, barley and most oats. We have to be careful even with our hair products, lotions, and cosmetics as well. Ingestion of gluten not only makes us very sick in the short run, but prolonged exposure can make us prone later on to things like cancer... When you hear someone ordering GF food, please don't assume it's a silly or obnoxious lifestyle choice, for Celiacs being GF is an absolute and constant necessity.

2:44 Growing up in a part of Illinois that had Menard's stores and commercials, the nards/testicles aspect of their name and jingle was constant joke fodder for grade school boys. I laughed along with you and your crew. Through the wonders of technology I felt as if I was sitting in on the studio production myself. 8:47 CORRECTION: Seth, you said the Bingo card needs a second row for the numbers. That’s incorrect. On a standard Bingo card, the squares should each have a random number assigned based on the letter (ie: B = 1-15, I = 16-30, N = 31-45, G = 46-60 and O = 61-75). Of course, you didn’t actually reference a standard Bingo card in the debate segment, you referenced a “Conservative dogwhistle” Bingo card, so each square should have had a different Conservative dogwhistle quote instead of a number.

But if you are playing the "Conservative Dog" version, each square should have the photo of a dog done in by a conservative: Cricket, the one eaten by RFK Jr, the one beaten to death by the guy who was in charge of Project 2025, etc. It's kind of a sad and cruel game, but if that's your thing, Seth, at least play it with the correct cards.

Me too! I have a little ritual of setting up my dinner, getting all cosy and then watching A Closer Look followed by the dessert that is Corrections. Always best to have finished all of the food before starting Corrections due to the risk of snorting.

It's bad enough that Kimmel uses a good part of his monologue time on "sports ball" as Colbert has termed it. It's so BORING for many of us! Please don't start, Seth. I appreciate actually playing a sport, or even seeing a game in person (if it's not much more than 1 1/2 hours long), but watching one from home just puts me to sleep, if falling asleep was painful and randomly punctuated by outbursts of angry bellows, frustrated screaming or deeply depressed moans.

CORRECTION: In A Closer And Very Frenetic Look on Thursday, September 27th, you suggested that Rudy Giuliani might practice law "on that giant Great Pacific Garbage Island made of plastic bottles", and try to drum up business from walruses rear ended by barges. There is no giant floating garbage island. There is a part of the Pacific, known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, that has about 4 bits of plastic per cubic meter, most of them microplastics floating 0 to 10 meters below the surface, which is much worse, because it's almost impossible to collect and remove. The surface of the ocean in that area looks pretty much like any other part of the Pacific, and cannot suspend a disbarred lawyer. Also, walruses don't go that far south.

Not all Africans are black! A large portion of Africa is Arabic, there are also the coloured if South Africa, the Afrikaans, and many of Asian descent. Cecil Rhodes was British, hence the colony of Rhodesia being named after him.

I just went back to episode 1 of corrections and there is so much less gray in this guy's hair And I bet that Axel is to blame. But the grayer your hair is the more you look like a xenomorph with that haircut
