This video will show you how to calculate the equation of a line of regression or the product moment correlation coefficient using a Casio graphical calculator.

omg thank you so much. I was so pissed in the lesson because my teacher just can't explain calculating this. He tried to explain this exact thing for an hour, and this three minute video makes more sense than his hourly lecture lol.

Hello. Yes, I'm happy to. Can I just check what you need to know though? I am assuming that you want to be able to calculate the equation of the regression line (presumably for both ae^bx and ab^x versions), and then input a value of x to return a value of y?

Hey I got an exponential graph for regression but I can't seem to zoom in properly for a value of x to see the value of y.is there any way I could plug in the value of x in the equation to find the value on y easily in the calculator?

I do not believe that you can, however you could always put the expression of the function into the graph mode on the calculator and then zoom to your hearts content!

What about if the data was bivariate?

The data that I use in the video is bivariate. Bivariate means data for two variables, so in the example used I have values for X and Y.

This method is for the y on x line. If you mean to ask how to find the x on y line, the simplest way is to reverse which lists the calculator is taking as x and y. You can then get it to find the regression line and that will be the x on y.
