That thumbnail with the chained island in the sky looks a lot like the castle in Final Fantasy 8 which I now realize might be influenced by Chrono Trigger.
I thought the original was just above average next to most of the soundtrack, but this arrangement is just amazing. It's definitely going in my Favorite Music playlist.
This and Sea of Ruin will probably always be one of the biggest shocks I've ever felt. Please, if you've never played Chrono games, please DO. Both games reach a turning point midway, and after that you'll feel compelled to finish both.
@@somerandomchannel382 You spelled it wrong, but let me fix it for you. ;) Definition of ethereal 1a : of or relating to the regions beyond the earth. b : celestial, heavenly. c : unworldly, spiritual. 2a : lacking material substance : immaterial, intangible. Yes buddy Yes! :D
Love CT, its the best RPG of all time, the OST was amazing especially this one. ( by the way, love the picture of the video with Janus and Alfador in it, where can I find it?)
Been tried, SE won't allow it to happen. Someone built a 3d one with orchestral remakes and got the playtest demo out for people to use but had licensing issues and SE issued a C&D and then the person raised more money to buy them out but SE said no to whatever that offer was. The money even got raised too. In like, a single day. But SE has their pet, that just sits on a shelf, all perfect. The saddest part is that as good of a game as FF6 was, a lot of the dev time and effort was scrapped so they could force this game out in time and full force work on it. This game shows that effort but still has pretty large holes where the cleanup could've been done, while FF6 has a great everything but massive errors in its code and mechanics that could've been addressed in another month or two of time in development. Or rather if they had just been given the budget they needed for the game in the first place, both games could've been twice the masterpiece they already are.
I think the animated style of the OG is best. It has a charm to it that modern graphics don't. It's also one thing I REALLY miss with modern games. Painted backgrounds, and perhaps a simpler style? It's almost like most newer games have little soul to them, in terms of looks/graphics.
This is great music to listen to for calming down from sorrow from thinking of possible dystopian, miserable futures, especially ones in which grave (irreversible ice moon forwards-contamination) accidents may lead to additional suffering for billions of years of at any time billions of species' populations.
This song is a bit melancholic for me. Knowing that this version of the song was originally composed for a fan-made remake of Chrono Trigger that was canned when it was hit with a C&D makes this song kinda sad for me. But at least we have this song at all. No matter what, the game and ost will always be fantastic.
