Corrine Lung has been knitting on/off since childhood and in recent years she has increased her knitting adventures. The long cold winters in Canada make for the perfect opportunity to enjoy the evening craft sessions.
I began knitting sweaters for myself and then socks, cowls and hats for many of my family members. As I honed my skills, I wanted to make the patterns better for me and incorporate new designs, so, I started designing socks. My first pattern was published in April 2023 on Ravelry and since then I have released 21 knitting patterns.
I have a love for the outdoors, and when I’m not working (semi-retired) or knitting, I love to hike, bike, cross-country ski and travel with my partner. I draw much of my inspiration while resting and relaxing in nature. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how much I love yarns and the magnificent colorways that lend themselves to my projects. I simply love to knit.

Personally, I prefer short instructions. The shorter the better. For me it's enough to know that I need to increase or decrease a certain amount of stitches and I always prefer charts to written out constructions. Actually I still have two longterm WIPs that I really struggle to finish, simply because they don't use charts. It's only written up instructions. Yes I can knit from that aswell, but I find it very tiring and harder to memorize. Everything takes so much longer. For me it actually takes the fun out of my knitting. I'd rather knit a scandinavian or japanese pattern, even though I don't understand any of those languages than have to read through too many pages of detailed, but at least for me unecessary instructions. Of course it's nice to have the numbers for the sizes, so I don't have to figure out the math. Not that I couldn't do that, but it's convinient to have. Well, with so many people out there the needs differ a lot of course.

I find charts also much easier to follow than written instructions

I found it so interesting to listen to both you and Corrine talk about designing and all that goes in to it. So many times, us knitters never give that a thought and think that it's pretty easy. So, kudos to the both of you for persevering! Her designs are lovely.
