‘Do not adjust your set!’ as the old TV warning goes; (how many of you still remember that? I must be getting old...) The first clip was deliberately made to look like an old piece of movie…
Here’s our film of the difficult-to-film Corris Railway. I have to admit that it’s my first visit to the line for - ahem - 25 years; last time all that seemed to exist was a short length of track and a couple of wagons. They told us that the O&K diesel is new to the line, however I couldn’t find anything on their website about it, nor any of the other diesel or electric locos. I was also told that the newly restored Clayton battery loco worked in Aberllefeni quarry, and was possibly the one I photographed inside the adit around 1990.
You will see from the clips that the railway has some fine facilities and scenery; we look forward to seeing it prosper.
Filmed by Tom and Dave Waldren with Panasonic SD900 camcorders, Rhode Videomic Pro mics, and a GoPro Hero 4 Silver with Feiyu G4 steady gimbal for the wide-angle shots.
