When you miss the bin collection guys and you have to live with your rubbish for a week....same feeling when I walked into the Q&A studio to find out that I have to listen to Alan-boofhead-Jones for an hour :)
a Week? We've been living his inflated, toxic trash for decades. How often does own up and say he's wrong, that his opinions are biased, tainted by his own racism, self hatred, homophobia, pride, self interest, fears, greed, sense of entitlement, and privilege as a salaried MOUTH-Piece.
@@MrStGeorgeIllawarra What will the new president Lieber do for immigrants in Australia who have been in Australia for more than 9 years? Will he give them a visa? What?
@@russellgillick7938 It's not about Jones, but about a diversity of views on a panel show like Q&A to discuss current topics of interest. The ABC is accused of having too many views or opinions that are from the left side of politics. It is therefore important to have some balance. Jones won't cave in under pressure, so he actually makes a good panel member. I don't like the man and disagree with many of his views, but he is not always wrong either.
Corruption in politics has become ubiquitous particular in the coalition governments around Australia. The federal anti-corruption commission needs to be public and go back 30 years, the Howard and Rude etc governments need to be scrutinized and all the corrupt politicians weeded out of the government. Alan Jones is just one off the mouth peace form the corrupt media who lie and support their corrupt politicians to get benefits at the expense of the people on Australia.
Alan Jones knows nothing about crime commissions. A CC isn't a court. It's an inquiry. Saying you need to decide if a crime has been committed before a question has been asked just goes to show he's full of shite.
Excellent moderating at the end of this clip Stan. Well done resolving the ensuing chaos by centring the Aboriginal woman and reinstating some appropriate regard and respect.
we can only trust if they do the right thing icac . 1 that they loose there jobs totally and not send to the back bench . 2.go to jail theft is theft in anyone's languages 🥺😡😡
To my recollection, Gladys resigned, she wasn't "reputationally damaged by ICAC". She should probably be in jail with her boofhead, corrupt ministerial lover who sold their soul for money. Bridget McKenzie (aka minister for sports rorts) should keep her trap shut when it comes to talking about trust and corruption whilst hasn't Alan Jones been done historically for "cash for comment". He's hardly an endorsement for purity.
Aboriginal Aussie Rules Players coming down from the Tiwi Islands, Arnhem Land, North WA, Central Australia to a Professional Long Established AFL Club, in One of the World's Modern City's. That is a Huge Environmental Difference and Would Take Anyone Years to Get Used to. Hence the Likelyhood that Mistakes Occurred or Misunderstandings Occurred at Hawthorn is Very High. To Me the Best Solution is an AFL Team in the Northern Territory, But do Aboriginal Aussies want that ?.
How about we stop following American method and the corporate is not supersaturated against self. Break them up the CEO head down can have liabilities hells against them. Let's hold the corprate accountable for more than they think they are. That's good corporate governance, remove their wealth in the aims of others if they do wrong is essential
Jones is trying to say domestic violence in the Indigenous population is far more prevalent than the general population. Should keep his mouth closed. There are many factors to be considered when discussing the issue.
He is however 100% correct in what he is saying. Domestic violence is absolutely brutal and out of control in Indigenous communities, mainly due to the effects of alcohol and substance abuse. That was a significant driver for the emergency response measures that were put in place by the Howard government. You can argue the merits of those measures, but not that domestic violence is a huge issue in those communities. Jacinta Price wasn't making shite up when she made her statements on the subject. Thankfully as an educated Indigenous woman from the NT she can't be as easily dismissed as a Federal government when she raises issues on the subject.
The defensiveness around anything Indigenous is growing by the minute. Everything seems to be considered to be racist and poorly motivated against Indigenous people, but when the Jacinta Price observations about systemic horrific domestic violence against women in Indigenous communities are raised, they are immediately dismissed as domestic violence being an issue across the entire population when in reality they are far more serious and out of control in Indigenous communities. There is also an assumption that the allegations against Hawthorn are correct before the independent panel to investigate these claims has even been formed. Hawthorn, Clarkson and Fagan are already presumed to be guilty when they claim to be innocent. The Hawthorn report is hardly balanced when the alleged perpetrators weren't even interviewed about the allegations, even if it turns out that the allegations are eventually proven to be correct. Even then it may not be about racism, but extremely poor behaviour or management that has also taken place with Caucasian players. The expectation already is that Clarkson and Fagan should be hung drawn and quartered and I think the AFL will find it very hard not to punish them regardless of the findings of the independent panel to avoid being accused of whitewashing racism within the sport. I think the pressure on the independent panel to find fault is also likely to influence them. Unfortunately they won't be held to the same standards of guilt as for instance a court of law is, although it could well end up there if Clarkson and Fagan are forced to go there to prove their innocence. If the main allegations are even partly proven correct, then Clarkson and/or Fagan have no place for further involvement in the AFL.
@Peter Taylor Sure there are cultural differences and coaches might say they made the decisions they thought were right at the time. But do tell what excuse did Geoff Kennet have for carrying a black gollywog he called Buddy. referring to indigenous star Buddy Franklin?
Lol. I bet you love Senator Price you've just latched onto her because she's the only far right indigenous person. If it's all the same I'll actually follow Linda Burney as she is mentally sound.
@@dilligafwoftam985 It's about giving a credited voice on issues plaguing modern day Australia. Whilst I disagree strongly with Allan Jones and almost every argument or point he makes is strongly refutable we can trust the ABC because they give a chance to the array of different perspectives in Australian society to have their voices heard.
@@jamesransome-haberley9298 Nothing was 'plagueing Australia' until the ABC started stirring up dissatisfaction and decisiveness ... trying to make news. It's become a a very adversarial rag. The fact that this is the only 'show channel' that allows comments onsocial media tells you how insecure it is. "We'll tell you what you should think, but we don't want your opinion." Sad, it used to be good.
Alan Jones is an agent provocateur. He's only out for himself. Emotionally he never made it past 14, the same age as the kids he wrote love letters to when he was a teacher.
@nath 1302 I thought he struggled to justify and down play his input regarding the terrible treatment of Adam Goodes. I consider him a race baiter from way back. Remember the Cronulla riots?
