I recently bought a Corsa with a broken glove box and was going to buy another until I saw this video. Thank you so much that didn't take long to do at all!!
Had my Corsa a few years now and almost immediately the glove box broke! It drove me nuts! Just got used to not having one. Was going to buy a whole new thing and then found this video. 10 minutes later and it's fixed, proper good video thanks 😊 TIP: I never had a drill so screwed a screw through to make holes then poked the screwdriver through to make them bigger!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! i just bought a car and didn’t realise the glove box was broken.. i was so disappointed. but it’s an easy fix as you showed, couldn’t be more grateful :)
Thank you! I just repaired my glovebox with 2 smaller zip ties and 2 smaller holes. (In the corner of the second and third section where you drilled) Only the right hinge snapped but I noticed that the left is half broken, because of this i reinforced that one as a precaution. Now it works great!
Just wanted to say thanks a lot for this video. I reattached my glove box door today as per instructions in the video and it worked a treat. Thanks again.
That is brilliant - have done this with 2 cable ties per hinge, went to buy black cable ties specially at £1.75 for loads, and with a bit of time it is all working again - thanks so much.
I just purchased an Opel(Vauxhall) Corsa from an independent dealer, when I viewed the car I checked everything and mentioned the glove box, so they "fixed it" and behold it is still the exact same way. So I'm glad this is a common problem and that I can just fix it myself rather than having to go get it repaired even with the warranty I reckon it's less hassle to DIY. Thank you!
Top man, top video. I’ve just bought a Corsa D to give it as a present to someone, had this issue, fixed the issue with the help of your video, kudos!❤
Great video but the screw heads are T10. I did have a special blade but with a bit of fiddling you can use an ordinary screw driver. Thanks for the info mate!!
Do the pins fit into their original slots? Seemed to have to slide them out suggesting pins are longer than the slots? Thanks... I was gonna try it today but was worried about this... and unfortunately you didn't show putting it back in. Sorry if I'm being dim.
Thank you! Fixed mine with two cable ties and a bradawl to make the holes. The pins weren't moving so I just fed the cable ties around the pins without tying them, then inserted the glove box and fed the cable ties through the holes and tied them once it was in place. Lazy or genius? 🤣
You don't need to take the pins out or remove the panel. Just drill the holes in the glovebox then thread the cable ties through the holes and around the hinges in situ.
Thsnks for watching please subcribe if this helped you out and let me know with a like👍part 2 here much quicker way with less tools needed ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5SkFvSgJtmE.html
No no no no no… what the hell. It’s supposed to have the slit so that it pops off instead of snapping. You just remove the pins and slide I back through the glovebox do. It’s literally slide both pins out and push them back in. It’s really as simple as that, no removing screws or the actual glove box
there not supposed to be split, I have worked on more corsa than eaten food. from factory there not split and brake over time with to much being put in there. because nobody uses the extra storage draw under the passenger seat.
