Just had this with my car changed the 2 temperature sensors fan was still on. Then changed the resistor. Fan was still on. Bought a new thermostat comes complete with housing unit £17.89 of eBay stuck that in myself pure easy 3 bolts. Seems to have done the trick. My fans off. Warning light is off car running like a dream. You also have to top up coolant so buy 2-3 litres as you lose almost all of it when changing the thermostat. X
Good video, I had a similar issue with my 09 1.2 Corsa after replacing the coolant and hoses the fan wasn’t kicking in at 100°C and I was advised to get the fan replaced after I installed the new fan it still wasn’t cutting in, found the problem was the wrong fuse had been fitted and had blown and also the radiator resister has also failed. After replacing both these items that fan comes on at 100°C.
Hi. I’ve a late petrol 1.2 Corsa D I’ve only one relay. The black one above the blue. Loooking at the fuse board it doesn’t take one my board. Puzzled. My fan does kick in. At one hundred and ten though
Cool video thanks for showing the steps, my fan doesn’t work and isn’t seized up with no warning lights on the dash so I’m stuck for what to do but still enjoyed the vid
Check that the radiator fan resistor hasn’t failed and the correct fuses are in the fuse box, mine had the longer length “littelfuse” rather than the low profile fuse that should be fitted and the resistor was £30 from vauxhall. hello , in my corsa 2013 the electro radiator fan turns on at 108 degrees celcius reaching a maximum of 110 degrees, is that normal in a corsa? What is the normal temperature in these cars?
