Great video Dr dolphin!!! This might be my favorite song that I have ever heard!! It sounds like so much fun to play but I could never in a million years pronounce this title! The trumpet part during the slow section sounds amazing!! Pls keep on realizing these videos I love watching them
Even better than Fat Burger? But thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! A Corsair (pronounced like course-air) is basically a fancy word for Pirate. I also made a fancy cover for the piece after the video was posted that shows it well, it should be the thumbnail for this video or also the cover page of the musescore link in the description. The trumpet part in the middle is my favorite part too, I even intentionally had them not play much at the beginning so the big hit and the slow section feature stood out more when they did come in. I actually went through each chord in both of those parts and adjusted the pitch of each note so every chord is 100% in tune, which is why it sounds so smooth on the harmonies.
Awesome piece mr egg, supa cool but why did you use such lame of an instrument as oboe? anyway you should make a piece in Phrygian or SUPER LOCRIAN since I did that as well. hope you're doing well and hope you got that note underneath the 3d printed monkey 🐵. also 2:20 was the best part and you should incorporate the E G G lick into one of your upcoming pieces. anyway, later
Thanks! Unfortunately whether you want it to or not, oboe does in fact exist. This piece even has an independent oboe part from flute for most of the piece. I did get that note as well (and took the monkey home), I really appreciated it. 2:20 was fun to write, I kind of stole the woodwind style from John Williams, with a new chord progression. The goal was to imitate the visual of rising and falling waves, with both dynamics, melody shape, and how the woodwind arpeggios and trading off every beat. There's a little bit of EGG in this piece, like at measure 92 in the trumpet part. Note quite a whole lick though. I actually do have a phrygian piece that I've been working on, but I haven't been able to get it sounding like I want it to yet. I'll probably release that one at some point in the future.
