Corsair F4U Moki 300cc *Maiden* 

When I watched this I had tears in my eyes...My Dad used to fly the F4U...He passed away some years ago , but if he had seen and heard this aircraft he would have loved it...The aircraft, detail and sound are amazing...Thank you and good luck for the future...

This is one of the best planes I've seen. It looks so realistic and the thrust that the engine puts out is totally amazing. Plenty enough to get that plane in the air. Thank you for sharing this with us. TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!!

Outstanding build and great flight! Also deserved mentioning this is some of the best RC footage even 5 years later.

I just kept repeating as I saw and heard this beautiful work: "Man, that is cool!" I have never heard an RC plane that sounded so realistic (and it couldn't look better, either).

I did not know Moki made a 300 untill now. Pretty scary on the landing but being a maiden, the pilot didn't know it was going to float forever so it was smart to go around only to do it again lol! Great filming and keep em coming! J

An excellent maiden flight and landing of that sweet and wonderfully done F4U by Markus! However, without the superb camerawork, video and editing by you Horst we couldn't enjoy it at all! All of the old warbirds are beautiful to look at , but I love the models especially the war birds from all the nations of that time , they all had their unique style , and engineering that was beyond awesome ...

Kit 1/6 th Top Flite needed some modification to make it perfectly scale then I made a mold of it to make a fibreglass copy, the original is almost ready just finishing touches then I will do the glass copy. My length of time was drawn out with custom electronics for lights, gear staging and canopy, plus it took nearly a year to find a pilot that matched the original pilot Chris McGee from the Black Sheep Flying Squadron Plane ID 883. Full cockpit wit lights, proper fittings to make it look just right. But I have always loved the sound of those Moki Powered versions but I don't have the room to store them as I have 2 jets that hog all the space. But yours came out a treat and smooth first roll and climb.

Amazing airplane! I love the sound of the engine!

Should have right rudder on take off as soon as you start moving with ALL tail draggers. Although the response time was good, he should have known this. P factor ALWAYS does this even with down and right motor angle. That aside, amazing flight for a maiden. Loved this. I also have the same color scheme and love it as well.

Beautiful plane and that sound is awesome

Just saw this video 3 yrs. after it came out. I hope this beautiful F4U is still flying. Tremendous power out of that Moki turning a 4 blade. Wise for the pilot to abort 1st landing attempt and go around. It seems to me that the Europeans are in the forefront of building and flying giant(huge)scale RC aircraft. I wonder if this is due to maximum weight restrictions in the USA by the AMA and FAA for RC aircraft.

Magnificent model of an equally magnificent warbird! And that Moki sounds awesome in w.o.t., very impressive! I think giant scale "maidens" are the most interesting to watch...especially when they crash n burn 🤗

(Can u tell?) lol To the point: At about 3:21 he accelerates out of the frame ... Ha! ... 5:17 - three wire! Nailed it! First time I've seen and heard a 300 cc rc motor ... What always gives away an rc in a video clip, no matter how accurate the bird, it's that mosquito-on-meth engine sound, right? Not this baby, scaled R2800 for the win! Excellent video in every respect! One chuckle, at the beginning, " ... Dude, hang on, ... Wait.. My cap .. Hang on .. I can't do this unless my cap is on like, perfect ... Ok ok I'm good ... " lol .. Classic example how common it is that extrodinarily talented/gifted/skilled people have funny little OCD rituals ideosynchrocies (sp?) like that... Love it ..

One very nice aircraft, I want to build one to fly, it's in my "bucket list". Dang that engine sounds good, Love it when you make that "high speed attack", the only thing missing is the "Victory Roll". What are the possibilities of mounting a camera in the cockpit? Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful Corsair it sounds great. I was impressed with the power the plane had, which was demonstrated when the pilot ran the engine up and watching who was holding it back and seeing the amount of strength required to do hold it back. Crazy question is that a radial engine in it? My father was 2nd Air Wing USMC during WW2 and he would have loved to see your Corsair. Thank you enjoy your Corsair.

I'm just a bit curious about something. The F4u and other planes at the time had advantages and disadvantages,but might be crazy but would any of those things play into an RC version?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I seriously doubt this is a maiden flight. Maidens are first time off the ground and normally very cautious in the piloting trying to make sure everything works as it should. Not to mention the use of the smoke trail effects. By the looks and sounds it is an organized event with an announcer and audience..........That aside it's a very nice video of a fine aircraft.

I want one! I love landing this type of bird on the aircraft carrier with my "Warbirds" program!

All the Corsair F4U models are so large, are there corsairs that are smaller?
