Cort Basses - From Action to Artisan 

I'd try multiscale definitely: according to all the reviews, to physics and to my experience with standard version, 5th string sounds cleaner, heavier, more solid on MS version. People also say MS feels comfortable and it takes just a few minutes or a couple hours to get used to it like there's no difference at all.

I’d also try looking for used Warwick Corvette series at your place. same price - german balls.

@@adams115 personally I'm thinking 805, simply because all examples I've seen of both suggest the 805 has a greater dynamic range. But! The Cort does seem to do 'bass', better than the 805. Let me know which one you get and if you feel it was the right choice 👍

@@paulsmith6090 personally leaning towards the A5. Although it doesnt have a tone knob in passive mode like the 805, ive read the 805 sounds rather weak in passive mode unlike the Cort. Being able to play passive is a must for using a looper

This biggest contributor to tone is the electronics, pickup/eq. They have the same pickups but different eq. Ibanez has EQB IIIS and Cort has MK1. Also ibanez is standard and cort is fanned frets aka multiscale. Multi scale is more string tension giving tighter B And E string but also a greater stretch which could be a pain if you have small hands. If you plan on using that B string much I would go with Cort.
