Thank you for the video, my family had horse ranch out Eastside of Cortez. Our property border the Mesa Verde, my brother's and I were allowed ride into the park on horseback.
We live on35 acres about 40 minutes from Cortez in Hesperus - just outside Durango. Having moved here from Texas several years ago, we love the area for all the reasons you mentioned. Anyone who loves great trails for mountain bikes and hiking, great brew pubs and restaurants will find this area a real treat. In fact one of our favorites is in downtown Cortez. If you like soaking in mineral hot springs, Durango and Pagosa Springs have excellent facilities and a few free places to soak. We built a small campground on our property to rent spaces and RVs for visitors. Climate is perfect with four seasons. Life is great here. Cheers!
It really is a fantastic area, we are planning to come back. We would love to know more about your own campsite when we come back, it sounds wonderful! Perhaps you could send us some details please via email: paul.gina18@yahoo.com
Absolutely love the four corners area. I just moved to Flagstaff, AZ and it's truly special here. We are very similar to Durango at 7k feet. I would still count flagstaff as the 4 corners general area. We're right outside the reservation.
I stumbled on your video... thx for posting. I lived in the area for 12 years. Nice to see it again... great mountain biking in Dolores, 12 miles north, and the scenery to Telluride is breath taking... I miss it now
Thank for watching our video. We really loved Cortez and plan to go back next year. I should have my mountain bike with me next time!! We saw a lot of trails around. We understand why you miss the place!
Wow! Incredible! I read your channels description. What you three are doing is AMAZING (cant forget the doggie!) I've been blessed to be able to see this amazing country many times and I'm only 24. I've been to every corner of every lower 48 state multiple times. Not many people get to travel like you guys are, let alone multiple times! I've been to cortez and canyons of the ancients. I almost died from dehydration out there. 10/10 experience! 🤣🤣 you are doing this right. Taking weeks at a time to explore small portions. You could spend a life time in just Colorado and not even see everything. The states are expansive and so diverse. The western states are amazing. But I can not reccomend the midwest enough. Simple towns, simple states, simple people. Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, all the midwest states. You get a taste of America there. Real people living real lives. There's so much diversity in the states. Hardly any racism, hate, discrimination. That's all in the cities. I hope to visit Europe one day. That's next on my list. Iceland Italy Poland and the Baltic states are my goals. This channel looks amazing. Liked and subscribed! Maybe I'll see y'all out there on the road one day! Love and blessings from the PA MD border! 😁
Thank you very much for your lovely comments. You are indeed blessed to have seen so much of the USA at a young age, but kudos to you for making it happen!! We hope you make it to Europe and sure you will. It would be great to see you down the road sometime. Safe travels, x
Oh I am so jealous! This is my kind of road trip. Beautiful scenery, good food, and fun stops to shop! Thanks for sharing your adventures, can't wait until the next. Take care and drive safe!
