A small portion of white people today actually have slave owner ancestors and more of the people alive today have ancestors who actually helped black people. My grandmother joined protested with black people when discrimination was a major issue and if you want to go farther, great grand parents protected black people in the days of slavery. They had to call them 'slaves' still so no one would see they treated them like human, but they treated them with respect and took care of them, even paid them for their work. When slavery was abolished, they let them stay for as long as they wanted because they knew life would be hard for them. If you wanna talk about me, I grew up not even knowing racism was a thing because everyone around me was black, white, Asian, and Mexican. One of my best friends was my black cousin, and I have a black brother. You do realise that straight hair isn't part of any culture, its genetic. Black people can have naturally straight hair too and white people wear extensions just as much or even more than black people nowadays.
