priceless! I know exactly what you mean...that's the love and beauty of music, and when you are playing n sync with a fellow musician it's heaven on earth. These two guys were in each other's soul, and it transcended age, height, weight, colour, ethnicity, culture, etc., and united in the beautiful gift and universal language of music. The only thing that mattered to those two boys was the magical, precious, lucky, prized moment that they were so lucky to share together. Those are those rare moments in life when fate deals one the perfect hand of cards, a rare gift from an almighty power, that for a brief moment in time creates a perfect universe, and does away with anger, hate, envy, and instead fills each others spirit with perfect peace, friendship, happiness and love. That kinda shit cannot be found - only appreciated on the deepest level of ones existential being, a language of shared musical love that cannot be taught and learned, bought or sold,, but rather experienced and soaked up by all that is good within the deepest recesses of the human spirit and soul of our collective human experience, a rare and fleeting state of nirvana, a blessed gift from the gods to be savoured and appreciated for all time! Long live music, friendship, love, peace and happiness and the brotherhood of humankind!
A love the look on the little bald dude who walks in at 2:10. He looks like he's had a rough day of wheeling and dealing but the smile on his face and the way he very slightly sways and nods speaks volumes. To me it says; "Thanks guys for reminding me why I got into this business."
+Ivan yea that's true. but Cory is better in ways also. you need to know that every musician has there own gifts in the styles of music they learn that makes them stand out from each you just personally prefer Nick apparently. I love them both tbh
I think you're kind of missing the point here. Cory is having a blast in this video. That's all that really counts. at a certain point, worrying about who is "better than" who is kinda silly.
LISTEN - ANYONE WHO STARTS A SONG IS OBVIOUSLY LEADING! LOL YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE LEADERS LEAD BUT LETS NOT BE CONFUSED HERE...THERES NOTHING..AND I MEAN NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT Nick Semrad PLAYING HERE. AT BEST ITS INTERMEDIATE... I THINK Nick Semrad IS A GREAT MUSICIAN BUT HES NO CORY HENRY AT ALL ON ANY LEVEL
just Googled it and I think you're right. There's a half moon switch attached on a photo of the organ+pedal board combo. I couldn't see it in the video.
He's not searching. On organ it's part of technique to alter the sound intentionally multiple times. And this guy plays organ since he was 3 or sth around that.
"I Don't Feel No Ways Tired" - Reverend Dr. James Cleveland -- This song always reminds me of my early days as a young child going to church with my grandmother.
That’s right!! I love Mariah Carey’s rendition. Thank you for the correct song reference. I was thinking it was a mashup of somewhere over the rainbow and something about the name Jesus.
@@garybuster4328 Gary Buster: Know what you want first. One needs to branch out from the start. Be exposed to all genre and don't get stuck in Schubert or Shostakovich.
2:04 I love this part. Cory's is just playing some lines while looking for a way to fix the sound. Eventually you can see him think: _"well, I can't find anything. So I guess I'll just play some sick basslines"_
This session drives home the importance of being wise about guarding what you listen to. Music does something to your soul; something very real. This right here is a go to if you’re having a crappy day. You can’t help but be encouraged when you listen to this. Two talented dudes just letting it flow and enjoying themselves.
I love Cory, not only because of his brilliance on the keyboard but because his overall life and belief and what he does as a person in his personal life. Diamond geezer!
...i just feel like weeping. there is something about this playing that screams: "this is how happy we can all be if only we can let go of all the hurts and embrace oneness!"
man, right on the spot. There's just something so warm and positive seeing people just have fun with each other, devoid of the ugliness of the world. If only people could let go of their ego to just try and connect with each other, life's too short to be dealing with conflicts
Take time to understand what you are seeing my comrades. Two people, one black and one white, who speak the same language. NOT from their mouths mind you, but from their SOULS. Two men who may not know one another but who can become bonded through their hearts (the passion from the musical well that they both draw expression and partake of), and ears as they take the time necessary to hear one another speak through their keyboards. They coexist in step and harmony, just as the black and white keys do on the keyboards they play. So why can't we all, people of planet earth, take the time necessary to hear one another and understand that we all want the same basic things, and that SHOULD be to live in peace and harmony with mother earth and each other? My God, that would be a wonderful place to live. :)
+Antonio Woldu I was passionately speaking about HOW we can all exist in harmony and here you come, bad English and all, trying to shoot my thought down. Your grammar speaks of your level of education so I won't waste anymore time on you.
Pastor Green what’s the name of this song????? I love this and I love gospel music but just got back into it!!!!! Please help me know this tune! Love it! Thank you Pastor Green!
If you really have that gift in your heart and soul, even after playing with someone for a few minutes, it starts clicking . It's like you've been playing together for a long time. You can just feel it. It's one of the greatest feeling's there is!!! 😎
Just found this video and I’m like WOW 😮. If this doesn’t make you smile you have no pulse. Cory’s face is happiness and sunshine throughout this jam. Absolutely brilliant guys. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful experience. 👍
Nick bounce is crazy like it just make the song so much better like i can feel the notes in my body while he play it's just amazing I be bouncing with him
the pure joy and passion Cory has for music is enough to make you smile and that's not even hitting one single note we won't talk about his playing good lawd!! thanks for sharing made my day!
I kept this on my phone when it first came out. I jammed on it. I sent it out to folks. I still feel the same way you guys rocket so hard. It's so fun if such a good spirit and both of you, thank you, Cheers to you all.
This is so inspiring. I have lost count of how many times I have watched and listened to this video. The two of you, please get together and record this wonderful hymn.
I know Cory was shocked when he finally figured out what Nick was playing. lol It took him a sec to figure it out. I know he was thinking, what does he know about this song.. LMBO! This is AWESOME!!!!!!
Two Geniuses! This impromptu session is phenomenal! My mom is in heaven playing along with these two. They put the funk on James Cleveland🎶🎶🎶Just plain GENIUS ❤️❤️❤️
Both guys - like many talented musicians - grew up on music in the church. That's where they got both the opportunity and the encouragement to experiment, play with other musicians, and develop their chops, all while glorifying God with the gifts He gave them.
Cory at 2:06 “Dang that’s odd. Where’s that slide? Awe crap where’s that slide? Welp aiight it ain’t here” All while rippin mad hooks more tastefully that 99% of musicians
I don’t feel no ways tired. I’ve come too far from where I started from. Nobody told the road would be easy. I don’t believe he brought me this far to leave me. 🙌🏾👏🏾 - James Cleveland
Rev. James Cleveland would be very proud of you all. The choir that actually recorded the song " I Don't Feel No Ways Tired" The Salem Baptist Church of Omaha Nebraska, just celebrated their 100th Church Anniversary, last weekend!
Pianists amaze me constantly they are so good at playing by ear like really in depth. Cory especially, it doesn't even seem to be a challenge to him to play amazing pieces off the top of his head.
