I don't understand why any of these newer smaller brands are going anywhere near oil/extracts. I know it's not the worst thing in the world but excluding them ensures your products can be used by the most people. Going totally fragrance free is just a smart business decision.

100%!!! I used to love lavender oil but after a few years of using a mist that contained it I developed a dramatic allergy to it and now if I use anything that contains it I look like I've been attacked by a swarm of bees. I blow up in giant itchy red bumps, even with products with such small amounts that they don't have any noticable smell. I've seen so many comments online from people defending fragrance in skin care, smugly declaring "I'm not allergic to fragrance." I'm like, "Not yet, you're not, but honey just you wait, it'll sneek up on you. Hope you enjoy the sleek packaging and sensorial delight of Vanicream because you keep playing with fire and that's the only thing you'll be able to put on your face without wanting to cry.

I asked a cos de baha seller from S.Korea and they said that it does contain 2% and 4% salicylic acid. They don't sell S4 and S2 in their own country but they do abroad. Same with the Isntree Chest nut BHA exfoliant, it has 2% salicylic acid, not betaine salicylate.

Such a bummer, it could be so much better, so close to being a great product I could recommend to everyone but not with the fragrant extracts.

My skin can actually handle certain types of oils (ex: tea tree, lavender, rosemary and frankincense I use this blend diluted in squalane when my skin is irritated and it’s good again in a few days) and all extracts just fine but fragrance free is the way to go. I was curious about these products! Thank u for this comparison review. Reading other experiences it seems like the “4%” appears to be more effective somehow. Also been trying the Purito oat-in gel cream since last Saturday and I’m loving it! It’s pretty hydrating on its own during the day but at night I add in my Cerave moisturizer and a drop of squalane because I run the fan all night .

Hi! I remember you saying in the video that you’ll address why their 4% SA serum might not actually have 4% salicylic acid. I think you forgot to mention why. Can you please reply why it might not have 4%? I’ve been eyeing this product for awhile as most 2% salicylic acid products aren’t as strong and effective for my face as I want it to be. I have been eyeing the Cos de Baha 2% liquid. However, he CosRx Blackhead Remover was on sale on Amazon so I figured I would try that first. Loving the Propolis toner, propolis serum and the snail 🐌 serum from Cos de Baha. I bought even more from them but they aren't fungal acne safe so I am going to wait a bit longer to try them just to be safe.

hey there! i was waiting for this review! :) Would you say this one is a dupe for the PC 2% Lotion? or anywhere near that in terms of results? thank you for the amazing non sponsored content!
@NOBSBeauty
@NOBSBeauty 3 года назад
It is pretty close, compared to all other products out there it is one of the closest dupes for the PC 2%- the only other product out there that is a touch closer is the Catrice Cosmetics - Pore 2-in-1 Peeling & Toner - I haven't tried that one yet but just ordered it this morning on my search for a comparable product. The Cos de Baha is just a touch more gentle, the PC exfoliates a bit more, but it is pretty similar overall. I have to put in a recommendation for this site, it is a great resource for searching for "dupes" - skinskoolbeauty.com/dupes/paulas-choice/skin-perfecting-2-bha-liquid-exfoliant-6f418db4

I enjoy all the different reviews you post, but I just cannot tolerate salicylic acid in any of my skin care products. I guess I’m just super sensitive. Strangely though I can tolerate the type 2 Clinique clarifier that contains SD alcohol and witch hazel. Go figure. I do have well water which is a bit high ph so I’m just guessing that the 2 clarifier I used returns my skin to normal ph. I dunno; maybe you do.
@NOBSBeauty

I totally get it- some skin is just senstive to certain ingredients- salicylic acid is related to asprin, and some people can be sensitive to it and even allergic to it so I wonder if that might have something to do with it?

@@NOBSBeauty You're actually right. I just checked the last bottle I ordered in April 2021 and it actually lists salicylic acid on the bottle. I wonder if it's a typo or they truly changed the formula. I just hope the new formula doesn't fail me

@dannamadura3751 3 года назад
@Udegbunam Chuks The new formula (2021 version) has salicylic acid AND betaine salicylate. I saw it on reviews on the Cos de Baha Shopee page. Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if they changed it, they are coming up with new formulas/products all the time. They have a tranexamic acid + niacinamide serum and a 20% niacimade serum now. BTW the 4% SA is great, good for spot treatment

Your skin looks amazing especially your under-eye area won't you share your secret with us 😉 I know we don't need a separate eye cream but I’m still looking for the most effective ingredient to fight fine lines in the under-eye area from what I know you don't even use a prescription retinoid. I’m using a prescription retinoid, over counter retinol, and ceramides but I still feel something is missing from my routine. I watched your video on peptides and I’m encouraged to use one of your recommendations. I would like to keep my under-eye area youthful and make it look more smooth without turning to any extreme measurements. I’m trying my best to cut down on my daily sugar intake. Also, I’m trying to go to bed early which I’m struggling to achieve.

I've been meaning to try tretinoin... thought I would try it this summer but I didn't- I just stuck to adapalene. Maybe next spring I'll give tret a try. Not sure why I'm so nervous about it. My favorite eye product is still the Cosrx Snail Peptide Eye Cream- I don't think I've done a product on my favorite eye creams, going to have to start working on that. I also occasionally use the Illuminage Skin smoothing laser around my eyes- but it hurts and leaves my skin really red and dry so I try to only use it during the spring and summer when my skin isn't dry at all. I know The Ordinary Caffiene Serum helps a lot of the under eye area for puffiness, but you really have to be cautious if you use it because it can end up really drying skin out, which then ends up backfiring. Going to have to work on a video for the eye area- no one *needs* a separate eye cream, but it can help for a lot of things like puffiness, darkness, and fine lines.
