Seems to me that both teams are useless. We are only watching because they are our home country teams. How did banana end up like this though.

SA decided to use the u23 team instead of the senior team to prepare for u23 AFCON in Egypt which also serves as Olympic qualifiers. Fast forward despite poor preparation South Africa is part of the 3 countries that will represent Africa at the Olympics. SA is the only Southern African country going to the Olympics (in Brazil and Japan)
