@P Mahisauria here is love for sure, but his is not normal. She loves her on one wonderful way,but he loves her on sick way. There is a such loves as well . When he thought he was going to be executed ,he chose her at the person he wanted to see last.He also feeling huge passion for her ,when they had sex after long time and mutual anger it was seen.He brought another woman in his house because wants to punish her because she flirting with her first love . After sex with his wife he never more sleep with another. He is sadist. He obviously loves her,but that way is a sick.First he tortured her because she married him to save her family ,then because she flirting with her ex . Although he left her and left he found out about the flirtation. He cannot love otherwise.Such love for women can only bring suffering. She much stronger than him mentally.Instead a thanking her for saving his life ,he tortured her because he was exiled and humiliated. A strong man never would do that.No woman needs man like him.He is lost without her.Thats what he told her in that sentence Without you .
@P Mahisauria definitely not ,she deserves better . There is a moment when they had dinner, the mistress serves dinner ,and he looks at the woman disgustingly ,as if talking at her,I enjoy hurting you ,you are mine and only mine, even when I leave you ,the other must not approach you.I wish his eye had broken out then .I don't know ,maybe the fact that they are madly attracted connections them despite the differences.
Kathryn Orozco He loved her but wouldn't allow himself to feel it or express it. She stood her ground with him. Everything he threw at her, she met it with strength, dignity, and grace. When they had that argument and he made love to her, I think it finally began to dawn on him his feelings for her. When she told him about the child his mistress was carrying, she couldn't leave him because she loved him that much. I think with that he finally admitted to himself, he loved her and allowed himself to feel and express it. thus the kiss on the hands.
Mimi Gutierrez very well stated! I completely agree! And he really wasn't a jerk when u consider the time period the show takes place. That's how women were treated
In reality, in history, it was an happy marriage... Cosimo had a son with another woman (a maid of the house), but Contessima forgived him and accepted this son to live with her own sons in the home... also because at the time divorce didn't exist ahah... however, when Contessima was old, she was loved by all the family and the grandchildrens... her grandson Lorenzo il Magnifico named his daughter Contessina in her honor
For a moment I wished she would have as well, but I believe she was and is and always will be the bigger person because she didn't. She is an admirable woman.
The whole situation was fucked up from the floor up. He might be a jerk, but I can understand why he's a jerk. His own father basically sold him out to someone he could never be sure could ever really trust, for a future he never even wanted. I'm not saying its right, Contessina basically was in the same boat, what I'm saying is that it is what it is and bitter is the flavor
