Each of their albums has progressed both sonically and lyrically-I would highly recommend going back to listen to Transmissions, Vessels, and Divisions before listening to the new one. They’ve become one of the best bands in their sub genre.
I love that you are checking out some more Starset. Some songs that are a must IMO are: - Monster, Unbecoming ( overall sound of the band) - Telekinetic, Bringing it down ( heavier songs ) - My demons ( most popular song ) - Where the skies ends, Back to the earth, Frequency ( three of my favorite songs by them )
@@cdt3742 I see it the other way, cause half of the singles from Divisions are ironically the weakest on the album. And because it was almost the opposite for the first two albums, I guess the trend that all the weakest songs from Horizons are singles.. lol
@@cdt3742 I honestly don't get why people think Starset's only getting better. Horizons only edges out their other albums in terms of production; the mix is the cleanest and tightest yet. But it's their worst so far just instrumentally speaking. And the majority of Divisions was already quite a disappointment to me personally. On the other hand, I don't see any album ever beating Vessels. So expectations are super high.
I absolutely love these guys. They have a fantastic way of writing songs. Considering the lyrics are pretty much always space themed (as conceptually they are written about some fictional society) they still somehow make the lyrics relatable
No just starset Tour , special guest with The Word Alive , and GoodThings did not say anything with VOLA I’m going this November and it’s just starset alone
Check out the previous single from them, LEAVING THIS WORLD BEHIND. It’s got quite a surprisingly good breakdown. Which is not something they do that often.
Would love to see more starset reactions man, the reccomendations in the comments are great ones. One my favourite bands that ive been listening since the start.
I saw them in concert this year and I always skipped this song when it came on… until after this demonstration. THIS WAS THE BEST SONG OF THEIR PERFORMANCE. I’m in love with it now
Leaving this world behind is a fantastic song on their newest album. Horizons is such an amazing album as a whole. It really changed my perspective on music and my personal tastes
Ahhh I was hoping you’d react to “LEAVING THIS WORLD BEHIND” the single that came right before this one. Hopefully you still can cuz I think the reaction will be more powerful.
This is awesome! Thanks for introducing me to them dude. I find so many fantastic bands because of you. ☺️🙌🏼 If you fancy something hectic and heavy you need to give Elision - The wretched earth, a listen. They are an Australian band and they absolutely rip! They definitely deserve more attention!
You should definitely check out into the unknown, frequency, gravity of you, bringing it down, everglow, down with the fallen, telekinetic, the future is now. They're all heavy songs by starset. Telescope, dark on me, diving bell are some of their softer songs.
If you like Starset, I definitely recommend checking out the band RED! They're a criminally unknown band that makes music very similar to starset, but with a good amount of screaming. For songs, some of my personal favorites are Darkest Part, All for You, and Cauterize.
Starset is definitely one of my favorite modern bands. I'd love it if you checked out Telekinetic, Unbecoming, Satellite, Telepathic(my favorite song from them) and My Demons. Alternatively, you could just check out everything they have😅.
It's funny how any band that's originally known for Metalcore could make this kind of music and would get written off as Poppy trash.. But when Starset makes this music, people fall in love with it. They just have a certain charm about them. Such a great, refreshing band. I think you would love Telekinetic.
@@ultimatetrishbhatia I know, I'm saying it's strange how we perceive "good music" based off of how we know them as a band previously, rather than just appreciating it for what it is.
@@shona5512I think the reason Starset has a good percecption of their music depsite it being rather poppy is their unique theme, good song writing and great lyrics/concept makes them stand out as compared to some kind of generic metalcore, it's why I forgot about the new architect's album the day after it released but love all of starsets music and I'll listen to Vessels and Transmission even 7 years later, I can't believe Transmissions has been out that long
PLEASE react to some songs from Transmissions and Vessels! Earthrise honestly isn't as catchy nor intense as most of their other songs. I feel like you'd love some stuff from Vessels, some heavy bangers on that record!
