Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure: Forbidden Planet Episode 2, version 1.2; DOSBox version 0.74 using 20000 cycles. This game fits between long load times at auto (3000) cycles and not detecting the sound card on max cycles, so 20k is used as a compromise. Original video date: 2016/05/16
Timing starts on the first frame of a darkening title screen, indicating "Begin New Game" has been pressed. Timing ends on the first frame of the end cutscene.
Having played this episode too, I can expertly confirm that this game is really hard to play fast. The capacity to lose inputs is high (it's basically like Duke Nukem I but slower framerate therefore larger gaps) so it ends up a struggle on every precision jump or wall-climbing segment to press at the correct time. That abhorrent sliding in level 8 I'm frantically pressing the jump button to no avail!
I wouldn't be surprised if this time can reach the 10-minute mark, might come back to it, but I haven't picked it up in months so no promises.

Wow, I actually know the first episode from start to end and from end to start, but I have never played this one! Vety nice run, thank you Capn, your videos are the most enjoyable for me on RU-vid!

Cosmo2 had some fun bugs. See 5:55 and 6:15...

I always thought that it was part of the level... If you look at a level viewer, some of them do contain ground tiles below the view of the game window. (Commander Keen 4 did the same thing.)

@@Kazuo1G Keen 4, heck the entire Keen series and games built on its engine, was good in having a level border as both a buffer and to store useful tiles and suchlike. The Keen Galaxy games are remarkably solid and something the makers of CyberPunk 2077 could have done with learning from.
