It would be cool to see Cosmo learn from Kaneda like you said for his foresight, or maybe even branch out to judo with the help of Hayami/arashiyama to expand his grappling repertoire.

Hard agree on everything, I’ve always thought that Cosmo’s weakness wasn’t so much “striking” as it was offensive options, with striking being just one of many possible facets. Either learning aggressive submissions to better match the Go-no-Sen style of Foresight or going all in on defense with Determinate Prediction to set up and force out the move he’d be defending against would be a more effective way of bettering himself as a fighter rather than dabbling into striking, which distances himself from his origin needlessly.

I think that if Cosmo bulked up more, he could jump up to the next level. Franco Columbu, a golden age bodybuilder, was only 5'5. He was one of the strongest men in his era and was an accomplished boxer in Italy who could punch like a truck, and that was all because of his weight+his technique. Cosmo is 5'8, 149lbs. He could keep his flexibility, his reactions, but lose his speed if he bulked up to something like 165lbs, but 16lbs could make all the difference from losing a choke to sinking it in for Cosmo. It could make all the difference between stunning a much larger opponent and knocking him out, bruising his opponent's leg or breaking it with a kick, it could open so many possibilities for him. He has perfect technique, he just needs the strength. Even with his small frame, he could still pack on a lot more muscle and become stronger

I disagree what you said about the Niko style. He can learn a few moves from it. He doesn't need to master the whole style. Also while Demonsbane is a counter learning it means learning the whole Niko style and possibly dying.

Yes, I understand that Cosmo can benefit from learning some Niko Style techniques. But I doubt those moves on their own can really make up for the incompatibility between Cosmo's fighting style and his foresight.

@@mozzarellacustard7414 I mean if he used iron body I could see him beat Saw. With ironbody he'd get a tighter choke and the ability to tank more moves

You're wrong. The problem with Cosmo is that he can't read to much movements with his foresight. Against ohma the major disadvantage Cosmo had was that he hasn't killing intent. And against saw paing he was catch by surprise by the short range HoB.

If the problem is that he can't read too many moves ahead, than how was killing intent a major factor in Cosmo's loss to Ohma? Isn't Cosmo's greatest weakness related to foresight, not killing intent? Nevertheless, Nothing in their match, statement, feat, or otherwise, suggests that Cosmo would've won if he tried to kill Ohma. So please, surprise me. If the problem is that he can't read too many moves ahead, than how is Cosmo getting surprised by an unknown attack like Hammer of Burma Lite support that argument? Even if he tried, Cosmo couldn't have predicted that move because he didn't know about it.

@@mozzarellacustard7414 I don't believe the problem vs Saw Paing was inability to read the HoB. It was moreso he didn't believe Saw Paing would go to that extreme in order to break free from the hold. Once again, the issue came to Cosmos' conviction vs his opponents'

@@ammonaustin9081 Yeah, Saw Paing's conviction was definitely a reason why he won. But what I would argue is the biggest reason is that Cosmo didn't get into a perfect Choke, with Sekibayashi stating that Cosmo wouldve already won if it was perfectly executed. So if it was executed perfectly, Saw Paing wouldn't have had the time to execute his Hammer of Burma to break out in the first place.
