I have never used an acid peel.. until a few days ago. I was very surprised that I didn't react to it. I have an outrageous history of skin issues since I was 14. It all began with a rash on my cheek and slowly escalated to a lifelong battle. Since this is a story of its own I just want to point out that I am VERY careful of what I buy and the manner of patch-testing. I tested this Cosrx peel for a few days on small portions of my face. Places that are usually resilient enough or places which, if they do flair up, I can rescue easier and suffer less anxiety over it. I did so on some pimple scars and it was fine. I tried my chin, it was fine. I tried my forehead (feeling more brave and relaxed about it) and that too was fine. So, I'm really happy to say, from the perspective of a person with very sensitive skin, that the peel was very gentle. I didn't wait the whole 10 minutes but I'm sure it was pretty close to 10... I wiped it off with micelar water and then wiped again with a toner (I did not use water). As for what it feels like after using it. It feels smooth. I'm surprised. It makes one want to do it every day which would be a very bad idea. But yeah, I like the results so far. I do, however, put it on my pimple until I'm sure it's drying out and no repetition is needed. I know Cosrx makes all their products gentle... they make their "scorpion" gentle and this is why I decided to try them, having great experience with their products for 6 years now.

The best peel i have ever used is the SkinTRA 20% mandelic acid(+2% tranexamic acid 2% aPAD and 1% kojic acid). Super gentle and works well for my sensitive skin but still very effective☺️

I have (had) severe keratosis pilaris on my arms and legs. It's been a long time, so I think at this point my skin there is like cowhide. It makes sense, since kp is pretty much like regular microcoring. Plus, I've used all sorts of chemical/physical exfoliation throughout the years. My skin looks pretty normal these days, considering what I've done (do) to it regularly. I would not recommend my regimen to anyone unless you've built up to it. Please note that I do NOT do this to my face, and I won't use the Ordinary AHA/BHA red on my face at all. It's too strong for my face. However, I will use the Ordinary red on my arms and legs and leave it there for 40-45 minutes. This is a long time where I need to sit around and hang out in the bathroom, so I only do this once a week or once every 2 weeks. After I marinate in the Ordinary red, I wash it off, then I use a glycolic acid 15% peel by No7 Laboratories. They discontinued it, so I bought about 15 bottles from walgreens on supersale. It's a wash-off peel, but I leave it on and rub it in like a serum. Then, I layer on Vitamin C. I've used different brands of Vitamin C, but all have 10-15% ascorbic acid. I really like the Geek & Gorgeous Vitamin C and the Timeless Vitamin C. The result is quite sticky, but I put on pajamas and go to bed. You would think I would get burned, but no. Once, I burned the inside of my elbow a little bit. That inner section is more delicate. It was fine after a couple of days - no redness. I just used balm on it. My kp is so much better, but I would not recommend going in this way from the start - build up to it.

I'm way too scared 😱 to try these strong peels. I'd be afraid of destroying my skin.

Hi Sarah I’m going to skip this 😂. I did use up a bottle of the ordinary version on my feet 🦶 but it was way too strong for my face - even before all the rosacea got going. Instead I use a 30% urea cream on my feet and for my face a 1% BHA occasionally. I use azelaic acid regularly and also a retinaldehyde a few times a week. If I want a bit more pore cleaning then I use the BHA. That’s enough exfoliating for my delicate skin tbh and strong peels aren’t for me. Best wishes x
