Can't thank you enough for your honesty and transparency! It REALLY helps the "Lawncare Community". For every RU-vid'r who claims to care about the silent majority of us who are out here growing our businesses in our respective markets, PLEASE TAKE NOTE! A person who is willing to actually share the info WE ALL WANT TO KNOW is what makes us all better. We don't need drama, ego, or blind product pushing... My floppy, wide-brimmed hats off to you, Sir! I'm cuttin' out!
Nice setup. Most guys up north, Michigan, mount the Billy Goat on the front on a stand mounted to the tongue. Instead of a meta shoot there is a tube that can be removed when going to dump.
If I was you, I would try finding a way to mount that on the front tongue of the trailer. Because if you go to use that leave back after you dump your leaves. The oil might not be settled enough and you will blow that motor up. Take it from me. It happened to a friend of mine who I was in Partners with. We made a tray for the brought. We mounted the back to it and we made the tube. Go in the front and what's good about that? All the leaves go right to the back. So it's easier on the trailer to dump it and with the vac. In the back you get someone to hit it. God forbid. There goes your vac and your time in business and when it's wintertime when you get snow. You're put on tarp over the vaccine and you can still use your trailer to dump. Gravel or whatever and the winter months. Please Comment back thank you
Can you refer me to a fabricator familiar with installing an unloader? I have a 5x10 and I’m not sure if the front is better for positioning or the rear of trailer.
