We're stocking the cabinets!!
Soon we will be leaving Nassau so we need to provision the boat before we leave. As we move south throughout the Bahamas, we know that food will be more expensive and not as readily available as it is in the bustling big city.
Our goal for this video is to stock up on all the food we will need over the next couple of months but we're quickly learning buying food in the Bahamas is so expensive!

Hey, you should peel the labels off all the cans and re label them with sharpie and also never bring store bought cardboard on board your boat because that’s how you get roaches! They lay eggs behind the labels and in the corrugated boxes.

Provisioning definitely takes on a whole new meaning. Great use of the escape hatch that was non-functional anyway. What I truly love about your videos is that you are telling a story about daily life on your boat and the highs and lows. Such a fun video every day. Makes sense about the high costs of items and you add on the tourist influence, and nothing is going to be inexpensive there. I look forward to your videos every day and will hate when April is over, LOL. Take care and be safe.

So, these are just like the S&H Green Stamps of yesteryear. Fill up a book and you could send them in for exiting gifts like luggage, dishes, kitchen appliances, and the like. But, getting a dollar back with a small book of stamps works well too...

Yup - cockroach eggs in particular live in paper/cardboard and in some of the labels.

Ever think about having a couple foldable electric bikes for running around the islands? Seems much easier, less costly, and you have ability to load stuff like laundry and provisions?

OMG. You don’t understand. That plastic is not from the Bahamas. I have a lot experience in the Bahamas, especially the island of Eleuthera. You haven’t seen how really bad trash can get. Just go on the Atlantic Ocean side of Eleuthera. That plastic trash came from the ocean. And it is everywhere. This is a real crisis. But it is not Bahamian trash. Trust me. There are a lot of articles about this problem Love your channel. Keep up the great work you do!!!

Hi James, while I 100% agree we have a world wide plastic problem, we have been to 90% of the inhabited islands in the Bahamas and I can tell you there is not a single good solution to the trash that is being used. It is really sad across the board.

@@adventurecrews havent been there only saw some videos from black tip fishing, san salvador there. Stories well its the first island in the bahamas discovered by christopher colombus, where he met the lucayan tainos. Ive also heard that the island is at the top of an underwater mountain which explains the sudden steep and deep drops of the island shores. There is also a story about gold caves there 😅

Well, nothing like being made to feel old. Stamps used to all need to be licked to stick. And… those kind of saving stamps used to be common in the states though phased out mostly in the 70s.
