Cost of Living in Belize - Part One - Buying Vegetables at the Farmer's Market 

Excellent video, thanks! We live in Corozal, and my wife says everything is more expensive here...Why? Who knows... What I don't understand is why one liter of gas is 1.80 in Belize but 0.80 in Paraguay? And why the kilowatt/hour in Belize is $0.43 but $0.037 in Paraguay, this is 12 times cheaper!! All USD dollars. Lots of people are moving to Paraguay because of that. In general Paraguay is 42% cheaper than Belize... even Guatemala is 18% cheaper, Mexico 20% cheaper, Nicaragua 36% cheaper...etc... Belize is an expensive country. It is a premium country with prices very similar to Europe. I am 100% sure taxes on gas are above 80% and even more on electricity.

Those veggies would cost you $28 USD here in Texas. Belize is getting really expensive but it is still a cheap alternative to the USA.
