Property taxes are ridiculous tripled in just over 15 years. Heat & Hydro .. beautiful town but utilities are over the top.. more expensive than Toronto. Prices are still lower than S. Ontario
Ontrio,, Quebec ,and B.C. the worst palces to live,, Intersting how you choose to compare Ottawa , Toronto and Vancouver, good gawd man,, even you admitted calgary was 2000 dollars less a year to live in,than your city, try Edmonton,, or Winnipeg ,, Regina ,, Saskatoon,, ,, a 600,000 dollar house in Ottawa can buy you 1 and 1/2 houses in Saskatoon,,, so you have to put up with 3 to 6 weeks of cold, so what , (it's a dry cold),, Never so cold as when i lived in Ottawa ,,and Toronto in my life,, -20c ,,,was worse that -45 here,,,, and for goceries ,, Edmonton is way cheaper than Saskatoon or Regina,, or Clagarry,, makes no sense,,, a city of only 1 million ppl ,,, and everything has to be trucked so far north,, but why are gorecies cheaper there,, and lets not forget provincial Sales tax and Carbon tax,, and federal Income tax,, Alberta has one of the lowest Federal income taxes,, next to Saskatchewan,, and as for Quebec,, well they have a totally different tax schedule which keeps thier tax rate down but with 12 to 14 billion pouring in from western Canada,, they can afford too ..... and at the same time critize the rest of Canada for not being able to balance thier provicial budgets,,,,.... I would never again live in Quebec,, or Ontario,, too expensive,, and making the middle class poorer every year
Ottawa's electrical grid is hanging by a thread. It will cost 15 Billion and 90 years to upgrade. Almost started a new career there. Left after 5 months. Couldn't find a doctor and was told by a clinic if I had a friend at home that could cut me open and remove a cyst because "we don't do that type of stuff in Ottawa, maybe go to Toronto. So I moved back to GTA where I have great medical access. Wasn't as good as before the lockdowns but that's socialism for you. Get out of Chinada! #FailedState
