Cost of traveling to St Helena Island 

Oh, I myself live on a small island, at Robinson Crusoe Island, in the Juan Fernandez Archipelago, Chile. And of course I love all other islands. Always was fascinated by Santa Helena, Ascension Island and Tristan da Cunha archipelago, which I hope to visist all one day not too far. Not important the price, these are very special places and the high price is inevitable. Same for R. Crusoe.. A must to visit as my island in Chile. Thanks for all the information. Greetings, DBW

We are hoping to go next year. Five of us. Looking on near 7 grand for flights lol. But itll be worth it cos my kids will spend a month meeting their grandparents :) cant wait

I would love to see St.Helena. I grew up on a remote island (not as remote as St.Helena)as well,it’s called Aruba 🇦🇼,in the Dutch Caribbean,near the coast of Venezuela,but with way more inhabitants (100.000).When I left the island to study in the Netherlands 🇳🇱 30 years ago,it had 60.000 inhabitants. St,Helena looks completely different and so beautiful,although the expensive supermarkets sounds very familiar,especially the fresh products. Love your video,🙏🙏❤️

They say they need (not necessarily want) tourists but it would cost me about $9,000 just for travel. I could go to a lot of beautiful places in the world for several weeks for that much. I don't see anything special enough to go there unless it was quite a bit less.

I have been to Cape Verde last winter, and Canary Islands several times, but there are reasons why St Helena looks attractive as a destination (warmer than Canary Islands in Jan/Feb/Mar, and greener than Cape Verde). But I'm still turned off by St Helena bicycling restrictions -- bicycling being my reason for traveling overseas in the first place. Some say the archaic restrictions might be lifted, with St Helena looking to boost tourism. Any word on that front would be much appreciated, thank you. Enjoy your stay !

I discovered my St Helena heritage a couple of years ago and have enjoyed mapping my family tree from the late 1600s with a Frenchman, Matthew Bazett right down to the present through my mother. In a year or so I want to top it off with a visit. One thing I would love to do is take some cooking lessons on St Helena cuisine. Do you know if these are available? Greetings from Australia!

Not a place I would want to go to.

It is beyond me why people feel the need to spend obscene amounts of money to travel to places where the people are poor and live hand to mouth. 4,000 GBP will buy a lot of meals , overnight stays and travel within Britain and Europe. Post Corona Pls staycation, learn to love your own wonderful countries as your ancestors did. No need to burn up the air getting to exotic destinations..... just because you can!
