As a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-powered vessel, Costa Smeralda is powered by duel-fuel hybrid engines and receives all of its onboard and navigational power from LNG. Costa Smeralda has 20 decks and a length of 337 metres (1,105 ft 8 in), a draught of 8.8 metres (28 ft 10 in), and a beam of 42 metres (137 ft 10 in).[9] Passenger capacity is 5,224 with double occupancy and 6,554 at maximum capacity housed within a total of 2,612 passenger cabins. The crew complement is 1,646. The system gives the vessel a service speed of 21.5 knots (39.8 km/h; 24.7 mph)

My wife and I went for a 7 day cruise between 04/06/23 and 11/06/23 in this beautiful ship and had such a great time. the staff were exceptional, the food and entertainment were both top notch. Our cabin 14093 with a balcony was magic. Martin was our English specking contact on the ship and he was magnificent. The trip was great value and we went places that we had not planed which again just blew us away. We won a guess the song composition on one of the days. We were the only New Zealanders on board as far as we know. We meet the most lovely people on board. When we where allocated our table for the evening meals the two lads that looked after us where fantastic, when it came time for our meal times and we sat down the lads knew what beer and wine to bring us to start our evening. I would do it all over again, and this is someone who said they would never do an ocean cruise. 11 out of 10

Thank you Andre for sharing this. I am bkd on Med cruise on Smeralda in Dec and can't wait. It looks like a beautiful ship and I hear the atmosphere is lively.

Hello, I have done many cruises on different ships and I can assure that the Smeralda is one of the most beautiful ships but also very different. You are going to like it.

Thanks, great video. Reinforces my thoughts about the ship, not for me. A friend went on it, very noisy, pretty awful food and very few people spoke English.
