I was saying what leftovers? Croissants don’t have a core like apples, or skin like oranges 😅 good tip for the rare occasion where your family _doesn’t_ eat them for whatever reason, but by that point I’d assume they’re laced with cyanide
@@Chonts by themselves croissants are definitely mid like literally all breads and baked goods that don’t have any flavouring, but having it with either something sugary or savoury makes them an A-tier food. So honestly if you planned on eating them raw (idk why you would) then you can save your money, but I think eating them with something is worth it.
@@leslien.552 Hahaha, I don't actually talk badly about her at all-- I'm usually defending her because people attack her for idiotic reasons. I just meant that she is just a well-known person who eats way too much.
ngl in my family we don't like sweets that much so usually we always have this leftover cake like croissants. Though it really depends because i'm from a country where eats rice everyday we end up getting so full from sweets so we keep it until a few day XD
@@RiderSuru My mom and I would make croissant chicken salad sandwiches with the Costco croissants. They were always so good. I would recommend using the leftover cakes to make something new with it.
@@undercoverfangirl5491 ngl I'm probably missing out on a lot of stuff because in my country especially my city we don't have cotsco ,Walmart, dairy queen, etc. but I'm glad I acknowledge that those place exists😭😭 because idk maybe one day I'll visit but eh idk
I mean, i live alone and sometimes when my mum buys these when she comes to visit. Takes me about a week to eat them all 😅 so yeah leftovers for me lol
It’s a reminder to buy more croissants AND/or possibly saved for crafts. Crafts that will never get done until someone FINALLY throws away a perfectly good, empty croissant container…Or… maybe the trash is full, the box IS huge.
For this though, they need to be stale. Like with bread pudding. You need really stale bread. I leave my slices out on the counter for about a day to go stale. If you use fresh, you'll have really soggy bread.
@@anakelly76512Yep, nothing wrong with wanting to do something different with your croissant’s lol. I’m sure she would have literally just microwaved it if she wanted it plain, not sure why some people are being so weird about it. This looks really good though, I’ll probably buy some croissants just to try this.
It look great ! I do something else with the leftover croissants, I make "croissant au jambon" : you put ham and cheese (gruyere) on the croissant and you cook. It's really good too ! (And really fast to do 😉)
this is pretty common for hotels and bakeries to do with leftover croissants lol but that's not frangipane, it's creme d'amande :) frangipane is that mixed with creme patissiere
I cut them in half, butter them(although theyre already fairly greasy) and put them in the toaster oven. Then I add egg, cheese, ect to make a breakfast sandwhich.
@@xdifficultviper9916 Chicken salad sandwiches are really good with the croissants. My mom and I have always made our own chicken salad with rotisserie chicken, but is the Costco salad really good? I’ve never had it before.
@@undercoverfangirl5491 I like it, they use chopped chicken instead of the usual shredded. Also used to be a pretty good deal not sure how much inflation has effected it though I haven’t been to a costco in like 2 years.
As a french I concurr. Almond croissant are absolutely delicious ( FRangipane is truly the best discovery of human kind haha I would advise adding 1 drop of bitter almond aroma in your frangipane cream )
Haha I knew I'd get flack for my comment :D First of all, 10$ for a croissant? It's 1euro, don't exaggerate. And yes we do have them on boxes in supermarkets in France too and I'd cringe if I bought some like that here too :) I wasn't being pedantic. (I also never have leftover croissants though)
Im sorry, why aren't you finishing it? Its croissants! Do they not like flaky pastry? Im sorry. This video should be stated, if you so happen to be at Sam's / Costco and buy a package of croissants, buy an extra package and make this recipe. 😅
My family doesn’t like them, I’m the only one who eats them and I can’t eat them all before they start to go bad because they’re too rich for me to eat more than like half of. So I’d totally do this
eggs, almond flour, sugar and softened/room temp butter, same amount of each (by weight, I never made it by volume), you mix the dry ingredients and slowly mix in the butter either by hand or mixer... that's pretty much it honestly
If you have leftover croissants just put them in your waffle machine and make Croffle and top with whatever you like and it'll be delishhhhh 😋 Edit: Thank you guys for 44 likes appreciate it 🤝🏽
Just for awareness, I have auditory processing issues and it’s really hard to hear you when a song with lyrics is also playing. I hear the words coming from both and it isn’t possible for me to tune out one :(
Thank u for the amazing idea. I’ve been spending $5.80 on each petit pain au chocolate au amandes at my local patisserie. Granted that yes they’re fresh & amazing, I always end up freezing them anyway. Thanks to your hack, I will now save $$$ & make them to my specific taste.
...or just freeze what you aren't going to eat immediately. You can either pop them in the oven later or thaw them and griddle them in a skillet with butter and a little sugar. This is so many extra steps and ingredients for something you may not even like and that will also go bad quickly.
I hate almond flavored things but I like almonds lol 😂.. I love cheese and mushroom croissant 🥐 they are so yummy and great with day old ones like these.
Here's what I do! ( my sister taught me this recipe from her days in college) Garlic powder from Costco ofcc Butter Pepperoni Cheese Costo croissants What to do ・Cut the crossaint in half ・mix the garlic powder and butter ・ put the garlic butter on both of b the half's of the crossaint ・put cheese ・then pepperoni ・then more cheese ・then put it in the toaster oven ・ twist it to its limit then go back up 2 10 mins but ma k e sure it's at about 250 -350 ・the n you got ur self a pizza crossaint
First of all, that looks so yummy 😋 I would definitely try that jaja second of all, thank you for showing a way to make the most out of the Costco croissant instead of just saying “those are not real croissants”, “they’re not worth it”, “how can you buy that” or things like that. Not everyone can afford wasting food nor buying “real” croissants every time :(
This video should just have started with, “You want to know how to take your Costco croissants to the next level?” This is America. The leftovers are on my hips already.
for everyone saying “what leftovers”: yeah, but some bakeries will sell their day-old pastries for a discount instead of throwing them out! I get mine that way :))
