Update Sep 2024: Still fine, no color fading and no leaks. The door frame starts to deform a bit now.
Update June 2022: No leaks, slight deterioration of color, door lock latch mechanism required re-tightening and lubing. Lubricated all door hinges.
Update June 2020:
The shed still holds up nice and strong, with no sign of deterioration under Florida sun and rain!
Update March 2019:
It's been almost half a year since I installed the shed. I've added a few heavy-duty shelves and moved most of the stuff into the shed. We are absolutely LOVING it! There are no leaks, and the ventilation hole seems to be working well to at least keep some airflow into the shed and out. The hinge and the door mechanism is still working perfectly and well-aligned. Really happy with the purchase.
I bought the shed from Costco when they had it on sale. Best purchase decision ever, as I compared a lot of other sheds from local hardware stores (Rubbermaid, US Leisure, Suncast) before settling on this one.
Couple of reasons made me choose this one:
The roof design of a single slope compared to gables which would dump water in front of the shed
Metal reinforced door area, as well as interior spaces.
3 Metal hinges on each door, and a metal door handle/locking mechanism.
The neutral color blends in well with plants and surroundings.
Great customer service. The shed arrived with one broken panel, they shipped a replacement to me in less than a week.
Unforturently they no longer sell this shed on the Costco website :(

Your video is very helpful! I've been waiting for this shed to come back to retailers. It is produced in and shipped from Isreal and all Keter sheds are on hold given the pandemic.

Nice shed! How many inches is the roof overhang on the front from the front walls? My back wall to front sidewalk is 82" so I'm hoping from the back of my house to front wall is around 82" and the rest of the space is the overhang which is up high over my head so it's ok if it sticks past 82".

Thanks for the excellent video. This looks like what I need EXCEPT that I would need the high part of the roof to be on the back. In other words I would want to rotate the roof 180 degrees so the downward slope is toward the doors. Could you comment on whether this can be done? It looks like I could just mount the pieces with the high piece in back, the low piece in the front, and the triangular pieces with their low ends toward the front. But I can't really tell for sure from the video. I'd be grateful for your insight into whether this would be easy, hard or not possible. Thanks again.

Can you 'slide' the shed out? For those screws in the side at the end you weren't able to put in since it was too close to the wall?
@TheGizmoGarage
@TheGizmoGarage 4 года назад
i can in my case, but there are mud on the bottom as I didn't anchor it in, it's really hard to do, have to lift empty shed up onto a large plywood board or something to move it out to put the screws in, but I did manage to get some screws in on the side near the wall, just used a very short screw driver to do it on areas that I can reach.

Hi thanks for the video. How did level the shed on an uneven ground? It looked like cardboard? Did you come up with a more permanent solution? Also do you have a rough idea about how many inches the concrete was out of level? I want to buy this shed and place it on surface that is sloped 1/4 inch per foot - so 1 3/4 inches over seven feet. Will I have problems?

Great tutorial! We have this shed also & I’m wondering how you went about installing your shelves? Did you just drill brackets into the walls and then put wood boards on the brackets? I’m just afraid the screws will drill through since the shed walls aren’t super thick...
@TheGizmoGarage
@TheGizmoGarage 5 лет назад
I am not feeling comfortable drilling through those plastic walls they don't feel secure enough to hold much weight. So I just bought two heavy duty metal shelves and put on two sides of the shef to hold most of the stuff. And lay longer items at the corner.

Never thought of that, but the screws are pretty easy to strip because all panels are plastic, so make sure to not overtighten them and only use lowest torque setting if you are using a electric drill/screwdriver, stop just before fully set-in, and hand tighten at the very end.

Is it possible to assemble this without the floor? We want to use this to house our existing pool filter and other equipment that is already plumbed into the ground in the concrete, so an existing floor is problematic. If the floor (or the edges of the floor) are required for wall assembly, maybe we could cut out the floor after the walls and such are assembled??? Thoughts??
@TheGizmoGarage
@TheGizmoGarage 4 года назад
It NEEDS a flat surface, otherwise, the panels will NOT line up property to put the roof on there. I don't think cutting the bottom off is a good idea, one small windy day will easily blow the top part off. Plus, most of the wall and top needs the ground for support and alignment. They actually recommend anchoring the shed down the ground to prevent the thing get's blown away. Maybe something like this amzn.to/3b1ugDe will do the job for much cheaper and less liability

This is really helpful, Li Fan. I have a couple of questions that maybe you can answer- I am building a platform for the same shed but have conflicting measurements from the Keter website and installation instructions. Can you verify the width and depth of the footprint, and how much the flanges on the side and the door transom stick out? I assume the width does NOT include the amount they stick out, probably no more than ½ to 1 inch? Thank you for your documentation!
@TheGizmoGarage
@TheGizmoGarage 4 года назад
If you can, I would highly suggest to make a platform much larger than shed, as illustrated in Keter catalog bit.ly/3bN2ECa The widest part outside of the wall is 2.5" so if you need to build a platform, I'd say use whichever spec they've provided and add at least 3-4"

Hi, I actually had the same question recently when building my base for this shed and I asked this question to Keter customer service. They replied that the 'external dimensions' on the website are actually the dimensions of the shed INCLUDING the parts of the roof sticking out, whereas the dimensions on page 3 in the installation manual are the size of the floor plate, i.e. the dimensions on page 3 in the manual are the ones you have to consider when creating the base/platform for the shed. Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for this tutorial and review! My husband and I are seriously considering getting this shed, but we read a few reviews where the floor had cracked after someone dropped something heavy on it. We have heavy duty shelving units that we would hope to put in the shed, but are nervous about the floor cracking or breaking. What are your thoughts after having the shed for 18 months?
@TheGizmoGarage
@TheGizmoGarage 3 года назад
The floor is a bit flimsy I agree, so don't drop heavy stuff on it. It also depends on how level your base is, if you have uneven surfaces the floor could deform and have hollow space under it, that's when if you drop weight on it, it will crack :-) but to hold weights they should be fine, I also have 2 heavy duty shelves in the shed, no cracking. Shed is still in like new condition after all these time.

I've just built the 9x7 here in the UK. Took 8 hours on my own at easy pace. Dropped my 2kg hammer on the floor which left half a hole, so floor base is thin. If you don't let gravity take its course with your tools there's no problem with everyday use. I had no need to bolt down to concrete base due to fencing on three sides to reduce wind buffeting. Lost count of the number of (different) screws, but very happy with it (£1300/$1800).

I would say as much as possible, definitely needs to be more than enough for you to squeeze in to bolt the wall panels to the base using provided long screws. Mine was way too close to the wall that I can not get into the side of the shed to bolt in the screws as the last step. Also, different local permiting requires different setbacks, especially near the neighboring fence.
