Much thanks. I've been trying to get this done for a hour. The included directions are cryptic and virtually useless. I spent half my time just looking for a RU-vid to show me how. Finally found yours! Took all of 3 minutes to watch your video and get the job done.
Thank you for the simple directions! I struggled for an hour with the crappy instructions that came with the blades. Had them installed 5 minutes after watching your video.
Thank you very much, Allan. There are so many videos showing how to install windshield wiper and the only one that helps me to replace wiper on 2014 Ford Escape is your clear and understandable instruction here.
I was today years old when I learned how to do this thanks to you. I’ve had new wipers for months in the garage and my husband said they didn’t for my fusion..all we had to do was change the clip! Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for this video. I struggled for about 15 minutes, before I decided to watch a video. As you mention, the instructions are worthless. I started to watch 2 other videos on installing Michelin wipers, but they used different clips. Once I watched your video, it took me less than 5 minutes to install the wiper on my 2017 Ford Fusion. It is worth noting, that the wiper doesn't slid down on the arm quite as far. When it wipes, the track is about 3/4" higher than the old one. That doesn't cause any problems, but I thought that your viewers should know. Thanks again.
Thank you! Ludicrous instructions from a company like Michelin. Have a Ford Focus and after struggling for 20 minutes found your video and finished the job in 3 minutes. After that it was Tequila time!👍
Thank you! I was having a hell of a time trying to figure this out. The instructions confused me even more. You made it extremely simple. Much appreciated!
I can pull and rebuild your car engine. I can build you a house and do all of the electrical and plumbing. However, These wiper blades and instructions were not giving me a chance to succeed. You figured it out and made a clear and concise instructional video. You ARE THE MAN. Thank you. I thought I bought the wrong type for my 2014 Explorer. Thanks a gazillion !!!!!
excellent Instructions I struggled to understand the enclosed paper instructions for almost 45 minutes, watched your video and was able to do both sides in 5 min. Thanks!
I want to remind folks to put a towel on the windshield at the "strike point" where the spring loaded wiper arm might hit. It is easy to bump the arm while you are trying to load the clip and it will slap down and crack the windshield, I know because it happened to me!
Thank you very much for the video! I was a mechanic at Ford a long time ago, and couldn't easily figure it out, the Michelin site doesn't help. Glad I found your video. Every time I get Michelin wipers at Costco they change the adapters!!
2 hours and many cuss words and duct tape later trying to figure out the wipers I found this video and thank you soo much that was a lot easier then I thought and yes the directions are crap.
Thank you for actually explaining you don't need the adapter pieces. I was so god damn frustrated because every other video just skimmed over that part with no explanation
Allan - THANK YOU - I was about to return these to Costco and then found your video. Took about 2 minutes once I had your guidance. You wish the manufacturer would give better instructions - cuz like you said - their instructions were awful.
Thank you very much, instructions did suck with Michelin, I knew I put mine on wrong, but I will fix it in the morning thanks to your video, I have a 2016 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor with wiper arms exactly like yours!! Thanks again for this video!!!
Thank you! You're right, the instructions that come with these wipers suck. Best video for Costco Michelin replacement wipers install for a Ford or Lincoln.
Very helpful video. This is exactly the setup for my 2019 Ford Fusion. I don't think I could have done it with the lousy instructions provided by Michelin.
Exactly!! I have a 2019 Ford Fusion. your instructions, saved me!!! I could not figure it out from the flimsy paper guide included. Many thanks to you.
You are my super hero right now. My wife drives a Chevy Traverse with the same blade mounting mechanism and the prior blades didn't resemble this at all. You are right the paper manual is trash!
OMG!! Thanks! The video I watched first (actually for my 2015 Explorer) was so hard to follow (like the instructions) that I almost kicked my dog😳 Thank the CarGods that I found your video! Same exact wipers! Took me 15 minutes to mess with it, another 15 with the first video, and just 5 minutes once I found your video!!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Please don't kick your dog. Your dog is the only one who will love you forever. A buddy was once complaining that his girlfriend didn't like his dog, and was giving him an ultimatum. Another friend told him, "Here's what you do. You lock both of them in the trunk for an hour, then let them out. See which one still wants to kiss your face. That's the one you keep."
I really like your video. It helps me a lot. I have a Toyota Sequoia 2010. I have look at several videos and it didn't help. I was going to return it until I saw your video. Really appreciate it.
Thank you for this video Allan. Perfect for my 2013 Ford Fusion. Impossible task until you see how it is done. First one i spent 45 mins with the printed instructions and gave up. Days later i found this video and both were on in less that 5 minutes.
Right up to when I pressed the correct adapter I did not believe it would work, then click it was on. I didn't think it was actually on far enough but it was. Thank you.
Thank you SO much for this video. I had the old style blades from Costco and could not figure out how to get these on. After watching your video, I had them on in minutes. It took me longer to figure out how to get the small adapter piece out that I had already put on the new wiper because I thought I needed it. Thank you again.
I'm surprised they were using that style wiper arm on the 2012 Escape because my 2012 Fusion was still using the old style hook which was so much easier. My 2018 Fusion has the same style as the one in your video. I also tried using those Michelin brand wipers and the damn thing just wouldn't stay on. Tried using that adapter and still no luck. Got one at Costco on sale for $8 and the dealer wants $20 per.
FYI, if you scan the QR code in Costco or on the instructions it will take you to actual video for you specific car model wipe install. I got mine installed in like then 5 mins without breaking anything.
2013 Escape. I used Michelin silicone blades, only came with 1 adapter but it case your confused, take the old one off like the video shows, don’t replace the clip that’s on the new wiper. Slide on and snap. Good luck lol I know it’s confusing sometimes
Excellent video, the instructions that come with the blades really do suck! Installed them on a 2009 Escape and would have given up had it not been for this video!
I was lost at first on your video but saw that the middle adapter you were talking about is already installed on my blade. Going to try to see if this works now. I also think the next time I am at Costco I am going to read them the riot act about incompetent instructions with the products they sell. This has been an issue going on for years now and somehow no one had done anything about it.
The instructions were beyond useless. I got so frustrated by using those garbage instructions and could not get my wipe blade installed on my 2014 Fusion. Thank you so much. I was using the wrong adapter piece so it wouldn’t lock correctly.
