Are you driving distance to where sales tax is lower? I live in MA (now 6.25%). For most major purchases I drive the little over half an hour to New Hampshire, home of NO sales tax! It's worth it for big items. Every computer I ever had (until the last Black Friday laptop I bought online from, ironically Costco) I got in NH! And if you buy at a chain, you can return to a local one! I would imagine this work work in Canada too. GL in your new home! And winter lolol PS incase you don't know, Costco doubles the warranty on tech items free. This is super handy benefit!
Please how do you register as a new immigrant, any special requirements? And do they accept cash for the membership? I just got here trying to navigate.
