It has been a while since I shared a good cozy cottage home tour, and today as I walk you through the different rooms of my home, I also share what I finally ended up doing with my dining room chairs!
Along with the dining room chair update, I am sharing several fun, new vintage finds I have picked up over the last month or so at antique stores. I have found homes for some of the items, but would love to read your thoughts on the items I am still trying to find the perfect place for. I hope you enjoy friends!

I love love love the chairs . I guess you just need to decide if you love real rustic, the chairs will change and take on more character over time. ☺️. Have you thought about using your new piece in the basement ? Perfect for beautiful organization, it’s a gorgeous piece and scored a great deal 💕. Also the bench looks really good where you have it, put some crocks on it 👍

I love the chairs and the wooden duck! And I love the secretary piece ... looks so nice in the nursery. One day, it will serve a different purpose, but what a sweet memory it will make for now storing children's books and stuffed animals. Little ones aren't little for very long !!! ❤

The hutch is such a beautiful and warm addition to the baby's room. You did a wonderful job on the chairs they are perfect with the table, plus the bench is so pretty under the windows. It is a joy to picture some little boys peering out the windows watching the snow fall (I know, don't talk about snow, yet). I adore the wooden ducks. They create a bit of delightful whimsey in your beautiful home. I have wrought iron birds on some windowsills that silhouette the outside Ivey, our grandchildren love them.

Chairs look cohesive with table. Copper pot is a great find. I am in love with copper. I also like the table under chock board. Andrea, love all the new additions to your home! I LOVE the kitchen the way it looks now with all the closed cabinets . The chairs look perfect, actually the bench looks great under the window! I agree with you ,as far as decorating for Fall, just looking through my fall items now and enjoying the Summer season and decor!🌸

I was waiting for that lamp and for that round table to come back! I love the round table between the white armchairs. I also think that the other table is so much better in the kitchen where it was before. The dining chairs came out great and match the dining table perfectly! The bench also found its place against the wall. The hutch in the kids room adds so much character of the room! I just loved loved loved every single detail of today's vlog! I really can't choose a favourite! May you enjoy your beautiful home with your precious family!❤

I know I have said this before but your house is absolutely stunning! I LOVE the chairs. They're beautiful with the table and looks like a set-great job on them! The hutch is beautiful too, and so glad you got it. It will look cute in your kids' room, or wherever you put it. I love all the lovely things from your antique shopping. I'm excited for fall, but sad, that summer is going. So, we're enjoying a lot of time outdoors. Can't wait for your next video! 😍

P. S. I just saw the old hutch in the boy’s bedroom. It looks really good there. I can imagine it with books and a few toys. The little shelves could find a home somewhere else. It is fun and refreshing to change things up. I sometimes can’t get motivated to clean until I style a little area ( even just a fresh vase of flowers.). Your styling is inspiring. 🥰

Why not put your shelf where your mirror is in the dining room. It would look cute there or is it to deep for that area? Hard to tell on camera. It would work great in the babies room too.😊

Love the chairs stripped back and I agree, the little bit of black left over paint gives them so much character 😊 be careful what you seal them with though as it could darken them, I’d probably just leave them as they are. The cupboard will look great in the boys room and I’ve done the same thing many times…..I just can’t resist beautiful old things and we’re surrounded with lots of brocante’s here in France. Your home always looks so stunning 🥰

The chairs look great with your table. You can try using citristrip on them if you want to remove more of the black color it works great but cover it with plastic and let it sit for awhile and you will be able to wipe the black right off! You just need to get more black off to the natural wood. Your house is so cute! Love your style 😊

The chairs look great with your table. I love copper pieces too! I was wondering if your new cabinet would fit in your living room… either on top of your built in bookshelves or built in bench seat. Just an idea if it would fit.

The dresser top looked perfect in each place you put it. I think the more you gradually fill your home, the more it will just blend in. I've done it several times over the years in all of my houses. Until you fill them, larger pieces always stick out like a sore thumb. But don't give up on it, it's beautiful. One day it will blend in with everything else & you'll find it's spot x

Andrea, I really love the bench underneath the window. Another area to sit and look out the window. I’d be inclined to put a plant on the end of it. That shelf/ cupboard is a great fine! Love your idea of it being in your kitchen.

The chairs look great with the table. Actually the black peeking through is very desirable. And I would place the cupboard against wall with vent. Just add legs for elevation and air flow. Thanks for sharing.

(~That little match holder… !!! 💘) In response to your questions,… the dining table chairs? ~Absolutely beautiful! (And the ‘markings’ on your table… I think of them as little blessings.) As for the hutch,… it looks like you’ve found a sweet space for it right now! Many fun, creative little uses for a young one in those smaller bottom openings come to mind! (E.G. The squares as ‘garages’/parking space for toy cars, etc. The possibilities delight!) If anyone figures out the best placement & use for this exceptional piece, it will be YOU! Ohhh love the cubby desk top. Honestly I just love anything with spoon carving. I picked up a little table for my kitchen that has a ton of spoon carving I just need to add castor wheels and it will be perfect

Hi from Sharon in Canada 🇨🇦 I think the shelf unit would look so sweet in the nursery. Your boys would certainly learn to appreciate antiques even more when they could utilize it for their special books and treasures. Also, you could always take off a kitchen cupboard door or two. It's free and gives you the chance to see if you like the look. Your hone is absolutely lovely and radiates God's love and peace.

Hey Andrea !! 👋 Enjoyed the Video and you Sharing with us and Asking about Our Th🤔ught's. I Have an "Idea" for the Hutch ! ! My Passion is " Decorating." I was Wondering IF you may be Willing . . . To Put the Hutch where the Mirror and "Forever" Buffet is and Put the Buffet On the Wall to the Right of the Doorway leading into the Kitchen. In the Diningroom. Perfect Fit and Height. Like What you Have in the Kid's Room already. They Can Reach the Book's. With the Hutch They Can't Reach Alot of the Shelve's. Like the Lil' Table in the Kitchen that's Below the Chalkboard. Do Really Like the Way the Chair's Look minus the Black still left on them. The Bench is Great in the Diningroom, whether At the Table or Not.

Hello Andrea, I literally just found your channel through Pine and Peace’s channel and again I just found her channel a couple of days ago..I have been binge watching her channel..your cottage is absolutely gorgeous LOVE LOVE the girls room especially… The plant is the only plant that I can literally grow..my precious mama had several pots..she gave me one already potted years before she passed..it will grow out stems with a pod on the end..well let me tell you..I just tossed it over into my rock bed..it took off and started multiplying..I now have part of my rock bed bordered with this plant which mama called it the airplane plant..it will die down in the winter and actually come back in the spring..I actually think it does better in the rock bed than in a pot..I have to say mama would put them in hanging pots and they were gorgeous…Love your channel only after watching two videos… I would leave the ficus alone..mama had several that were years old and grew extremely big..she only watered hers when it was dry..they don’t take a lot of water..she had a sun room so all of her many plants thrived immensely..I didn’t inherit her green thumb..I did inherit her cooking, cleaning and decorating..I hope this helps 😍

Love the hutch in the nursery Andrea. It will hold more books than the current shelving, and as you said, will look sweet with stuffed animals displayed on it. I’m sure your boys will have little treasures to store in the lower compartments as well. You did an amazing job stripping and sanding your DR chairs and the bench looks great under the window. Always handy to have extra seating. You have such a beautiful cozy home. So glad I have started watching your RU-vid channel.

We have 2 chairs similar to yours from my husband's grandmother's house and enjoy them so much: lightweight, sturdy, small yet supportive, and timeless....keep the chairs! Also think you would not regret keeping the bench where it is, especially with guests in a smaller home....we do the same and have a smaller house than you 😊.

I love the light like that, reminds me of a spring or fall day and windows are open and light dances around the room in stream from outside, you know when little, tiny dust bunnies float. It is relaxing. So, I'd do it on purpose because it makes it cosy. Love your home and you have done such a good job with all your picks and placement. Love the duck. I think your hutch is the top to a desk. Looks good in the nursey. Peace!

If it were me, I would look for a "riser bench" to accommodate the Hutch to go over the vent as to still let the air flow. I had a similar situation and it worked out perfectly. (As handy as your Husband is, it wouldn't take long to make a cute bench) Blessings

Love the chairs just as they are...perfect! That hutch looked so good on that piece in your bedroom, it's a shame it would block the window. Any chance of moving that piece to the dining room in place of the other piece you tried it on? Then you could display dishes and such! Sometimes you have to reimagine pieces used in a totally different way. I'm considering that with my grandmother's china cabinet. Just tight in my dining room and considering using it in our tiny library space and doing away with my cheaper bookshelves. Just a thought.

Leave the bench where it’s at. It’s perfect there. As well as the the new hutch you picked up. It’s gorgeous in the nursery. I hope that’s where you will put it. And I have to tell you, the chairs turned out fantastic. Once you seal them they will be beautiful. The left over black paint is just fab. ❤❤❤

Everything looks so beautiful! I love all those new finds!😍 I think the bench looks really good under the window like you have it! I feel your pain about the hutch!! I so often see pieces that are so gorgeous but don’t know where to fit them in the house. I think it is a great idea to have it in the boys room. It is beautiful and functional there. I’m with you, holding on to summer for as long as possible! Love all your well thought thru changes…. I was wondering if you could flip your new shelf/ book case over, so the drawer and pigeon holes were on the top? It might work even better in the nursery with more area the boys could use where they could reach it. Just a thought. It is beautiful.

You have a great eye for beautiful finds. I love the bench under the window. It looks like it was intended for that spot. If you'd rather have the hutch over the vent, you could put some temporary "legs" underneath it for now, but it would look beautiful where the book shelves are too. I love your cottagy home so much and find lots of inspiration on your channel. Thank you.

I think it looks nice under the window. The whole room looks cozy and inviting, and it could come in handy when you have company the chairs look great too don’t overthink it.

I love the chairs. They do look rustic. And if you like them that’s all that matters. I love the hutch. I’ve never seen anything like that. It’s really nice. Your kitchen is so cute. I love the sink. And your countertops look like soapstone. They are nice. The blue duck was cute too. I would leave it in the nursery. You could probably move the book shelves into someone else’s room.

I like the hutch on top of the stand that was in your bedroom, as the wood colors matched. Maybe you could move that stand downstairs in your dining room and move a different stand up to you bedroom. The hutch is beautiful. Enjoy your videos. 😊

I’m sorry if this is repetitive, but I didn’t read all of the comments. The hutch looked awesome on the table in your bedroom. Could you move that table to the kitchen between the open shelves and place the hutch on it?You could put the table that is currently there under the window in your bedroom. Of course the old window turned mirror would have to find a new spot !😂

Andrea I love those dining room chairs, they are beautiful and I think they are perfect paired with your gorgeous table. Did you try your new hutch from the beginning of this video, on the wall between the shelves? It looks like it belongs on the dresser you had it sitting on in your upstairs.

Hi Andrea, I absolutely love the hutch you found and I think it looks beautiful in the nursery. Will the bench from the kitchen fit where the play kitchen is? This way you can put the hutch on top of the bench and secure it to the wall and the bench won't block the heating vent. I can't tell if the bench will fit or be too big. Just a thought, I hope you have a lovely day. 😉
