Hey, awesome run! I'm a huge Cotton fan (own the game on ST-V, as well as a few tea cups, complete soundtrack, arcade poster for Boomerang and a manga.) I'm impressed by your technique, having played the Saturn games for dozens of hours with a friend and on my own I didn't know you could inflate the bubbles. How did you do this? I'm aware of how to launch them. I haven't finished watching the video but do you know of any other techniques? I'm aware of the command moves in 2/boomerang.
Great video man!!! You did an amazing record that I bet NO ONE would ever defeat ever in humanity within the universe!!! That food disorder that you took made you get a bigger score than others, or did you? XD I just wrote that for a diet joke.
Yeah, that's not 'chaining' you're observing at 1:48, that's 'pursuit' (the act of shooting the seal). I change to Wind Cotton because the wind seal retreats _towards_ you when you shoot it, allowing you to get enormous hit counts during boss fights. Against the stage 6 boss, who takes a particularly long time to time out, you can get a pursuit count of over 2500!
How would we even know if it's a world record? Because you just say so? Who else can we compare with? There used to be Japanese arcade tournaments in the 90s, find the list and get back to us.
@@davidcopernicuseuclidziggy699Thanks I will do that. i have the game on MAME, but it doesnt run properly--Its glitchy. i would like to play it on ssf. Thanks for suggestion.
@@dauntless78 yeah, none of Success' ST-V games emulate well in MAME; tons of input lag, especially on Guardian Force. Ironically, other ST-V shmups like Shienryu and (to a lesser extent) Purikura Daisakusen are perfectly playable.
