The University of Alabama Million Dollar Band and the University of Cincinnati Bearcat Marching Band face of at the 2021 Cotton Bowl Battle of the Bands BOTB!
University of Alabama gets the Win in this Battle of the Bands-Congratulations. Best Ensemble, intonation, articulation, attacks, releases, balance, blend, song selection and discipline.
Both Bands were wonderful. I found Band kids to not only be talented musicians but great kids who excel in many other areas of their life. They learn all about teamwork and hard work. (I admit to be being partial to the Michigan Marching Band because of their iconic fight song and seeing them March in that block M formation before 110,000 fans. Ohio State also has a great Band).
I agree David! My three kids have been involved with band since middle school and are still active today. I have two in the University of Alabama Million Dollar Band and one who is a senior in high school. I was never in band myself, but have been extremely impressed with how band has been a positive influence on our kids. I love all the bands and hope to share more videos of other bands as I can.
This was always my favorite part of going to bowl games when I was college marching band (Marshall.) My last year we went to the St. Pete Bowl (I think its called the Gasparilla Bowl now?) and the BOTB was on the beach. Both bands just played their full halftime and stands music repertoire, and it was a really great time.
Ohio is the heart of marching band greatness. No other state (pwi wise) has so much amazing marching band talent. Hbcu bands are always awesome too, but they are a whole different ballgame. But ohio does have atleast 1 hbcu band and it is awesome :)
Not really! Alabama's All Girl Cheerleading team won the national title this year and the coed team came in 2nd place. The band, cheerleaders and fans for Cincinnati did seem more excited, almost manic at times until the game started, then they slowly became very quiet by the end!
@@graciel2313 Cheerleading competitions have absolutely nothing to do with this video clip and my comment about it. I said I love Cincinnati’s cheerleaders and their band in this clip rocked the house
