When dying roots, if they are the natural color, due to growth, will the color you put on them just be really dark? Sorry if it's a silly question.. P.S. I
You are my hair colour super hero! Unfortunately, I'm an incomplete quadraplegic and can't colour my hair myself, and I definitely don't want my husband to give it a try. I'm only 49, going to be 35 again on August 7th, and I need a new look. I really, really want pastel rainbow hair, I don't have to bleach because my hair grows in white. I'm not sure if this is caused by the traumatic injury or not. I do know that my hair was stick straight and I could barely get it to grow past my sholders before and it was very fine. Now the back of my hair grows in spiral curls, and is about 4 to 5 inches past my elbows, go figure? You are an inspiration, I suffer from chronic pain and insomnia, along with depression and anxiety and it's more crippling than the incomplete quadraplegia, I spend more time in bed than anything else. I need a massive change in my life. Thank you for sharing your videos, I greatly appreciate your knowledge and creativity! 💜
Hi Aislinn. I saw you have a few tape-ins in your hair.....does the tapes not get loose? I have tape-ins in....and want to put a semi permanent colour over my hair? Is it do able? I am going to use sulphate free conditioner and then the powder dye...will it work?
@@etherealalienn how long??? I done it once like 3 months ago and I bleached my hair and little bits of pink still there I used a level 8 beige blonde dye STILL there. I’m getting annoyed lol.
I had to stop dyeing my hair about 4 years ago - after coloring my hair myself for about 8 years - due to health reasons and just finally felt ready to try again. I got so excited when you said you feel more like yourself, cause same ❤️❤️ I, too, am very stubborn and difficult, so when I finally decided I felt ready to try, I ended up doing neon fire hair with custom mixed colors faded into each other (because why start small?) and I feel SO much more like myself ❤️ Especially after a long term breakup with the person I spent my entire adult life with, I’ve just felt like I have absolutely no idea who I am. But my neon fire hair, it’s one thing that I know is me ❤️❤️
I love how shimmery their colors are! I used the garnet on my hair not too long ago and I was really happy with it although you do need a LOT of tubes of color.
I like how you showed the bowls and such in the beginning. Can be very helpful for people who don’t know what they’re doing at all with this and need clear visuals of what you’re doing off camera with mixing. 👍
Ion colour brilliance is one of my favourite semi permanent dyes. It's not super runny, the colours last while still being easy to fade out if you want to change colours, and they have a wide variety of options. Glad to see you using this line!
I love the cotton Candy colors on you. I use the ION colors most of the time. They’re reasonably priced and have a wide variety of colors that all mix easily together. I have been wondering about their permanent dye though. I’ve been using the same color the last few times I’ve dyed it. Even though the ION does stay fairly well it does still fade pretty quickly since pastels always do. I used their natural permanent colors in the past but I’m wondering how the fashion colors are.

This color combo looks so good on you! I am 62 and have never bleached my hair. I have watched tons of bleach video's but doing it myself I feel a bleach bath may by for me. I have med brown hair with lots of red in it that has faded alot. Lots of gray on the top of my head-re-growth mixed with some brown. Back of my head is alot of brown. I want to experiment but afraid i will mess it up badly!

I love the Ion colors. My hair is too dark for these pastel colors to show up, BUT Shark Blue does tone my very warm, honey blonde hair to the most icy blonde I've been able to achieve.
did she just use a house key or was it a specific tool for that? i love ion but my main problem with the tubes is that it's so hard to get the product out so that trick would really help!
@@emilydidanieli they make a special tool for tubes. I think Sally’s sells them. But you can usually find them any place where painting supplies are sold. I got some at Michael’s. They’re also great for toothpaste and pretty much anything in a tube.
I used to use Sally Beauty when I was a teenager in the early 90s. My husband and I tried to go back, and so many things I used to use from there they refuse to sell unless I have a beautician's license. In the end, I'm stuck with Amazon or independent shops. Really frustrating. I've been jacking up my hair since 1992. I got this, guys. But Sally disagrees. 🥺
I love cotton candy anything! I use to use Ion, then I switched to Artic Fox but now I've been using Lime Crime Mermaid hair and I loooove it 🥰 Sally Beauty is my go to all the time too! ❤️

My purple faded into blues and greens and my pink is fading out to blonde but in a way everyone thinks I did my hair two tone on purpose haha I loooove it so much!
