Cotton Eco System - a perspective 

The cotton eco-system in India employs 60 million people from farming to garment industry, forming one of the largest employer in the industrial economy of India. 1% of the total cotton eco-system labor force are farmers, who generate the raw material, the cotton. Hence, sustenance and increase in productivity of cotton farming is the key to the success of cotton eco-system.
