We camped one night in our tent at Cougar Rock Campground in Mt. Rainier National Park. Even in the mountains at 3,200' elevation it was uncomfortably hot with the daytime temperature near 90! After we set up our tent, we discovered that in our haste we forgot our sleeping bags! Covering ourselves up with a furniture blanket that we had stowed in our car, we kept warm during night on top of our inflatable mattress. The next morning, when we opened our Subaru hatchback we found evidence of a critter having chewed up paper towels, food wrappings and cardboard. We searched the car and our possession, but did not find the furry thief. Oh well, it certainly added to our getaway adventure! As you can see from this and my previous video, the scenery was amazing and our brief escape to Mt. Rainier National Park was well worth it!
