Could Artificial Intelligent Robots Hurt Humans 

I will never forget the Ns4 man They may have been robots but deep down we all knew they cared about humans more then themselves

Robots don't need to hurt humans. Humans already do that to themselves.

To this day Sonny is one of my favorite robot in movies. His moves were awesome when he fought the other NS5. I'm a bit sad those scenes we're not here but I love your channel so I'll be fine with it

Well I was too young to understand this movie, but AI was assigned to protect humanity, even from themselves.

The real reason why this will never happen is because of human hackers who would control the robots themselves.

'Murder is a human killing another human and you cant charge the robot' so your telling me that if i make then use a gun to kill someone i don't get charged with murder and its the bullets fault?

Watched this movie when I was a kid and it's still one of my favorites. Sonny is such an amazing character and I love how he was able to save Calvin in the end. The three laws of robotics are so important and it's a reminder of why we should never let AI control everything. I love the scene when Sonny learns what a wink is and uses it so casually. It's a shame this movie didn't do well at the box office because it's such an underrated classic.

I love this movie so much. The 2 scenes that always combine in my mind with a huge emotional impact is Spooner telling Calvin about the Crash. Pinned, beginning to drown and saved by the NS4 passing by. "You are in Danger." "Save Her! Save the Girl!". Yet he was saved, he was the Logical Choice, 40% over 11%. Then the nanite scene at the Core. Spooner's words are an echo of the Crash, he's still wearing Sarah's necklace in the scene. "Save her! Save the girl!" as the NS5's are closing in on them, knowing that they'll be overrun soon, like the water of the crash, he still puts Calvin ahead of the mission. "Sonny Save Calvin!" And Sonny must know in his mind that the odds aren't favorable for Calvin, but he does the Human thing and entrusts the mission to Spooner, he'd had to know that Spooner would of saved Calvin then and there if he could, but he was pinned, again, by the actions and mistakes of others that led them there. That Sunny could do the Human thing, and act on a chance of 11%, or just in odds that don't imply success really makes me tear up, it feels as though a few things are accomplished. Sonny shows that Robots can be just as Human, saving Calvin over Spooner or the Mission probably lifted a burden from Spooner over Sarah, while still holding the guilt, he can start to move past his anger. Calvin gets to live unlike Sarah, because a Robot acted Human instead of dooming her to die because her Chance of Survival was too low. Sonny got the complete respect of Calvin and especially Spooner, even becoming a friend of the latter. And that's why I love this movie, the Plot for me gives me a feeling of hope and relief.

Idk why he doesn't have a camera with him to record the evil robots. It would make his claims more believable if a robot was caught on video attacking a human. They have all this tech but couldn't just bring a camera with them.

Sonny is my favourite character, used to be scared of him when I was little.. now I’m obsessed with the film.

I remember this coming out in theaters in summer 2004. Watched it and enjoyed every minute of it. I remember thinking that the audi rsq was the coolest car I've ever seen. 😎

Was working at a call center a few years ago and this movie came on during work and I said that the robots “Looked like the Apple T-800” and made this one guy I was sitting next to laugh so hard that almost 2 years later I became his fiancée. Yes, but they have no reason to do that. Basically, if a more intelligent being appear on Earth tomorrow, it will have already the means to avoid being hurt ed and hurting humans. Whatever the reason it have, it is also so smart to find alternative solutions that can easily avoid any contact, hurt people, destroy the world. Etc.

Great video! Can you do Tag? For some info about the movie; Opening scene from the Japanese horror movie TAG. Despite its appearance the movie is not your typical japanese school girl horror movie. In fact its nothing like what this scene portrays. The movie is a mind thriller/horror.

This was a great damn movie. I loved watching this as I grew up.

A lot of people dislike this movie for being so action focused while Asimov's books are far lighter in tone, but I think the story reflects perfectly the basic issue with the three laws and the arise of Law Zeroth. Robots in Asimov's fiction are all programmed with the three laws, and all of them eventually reach logical conflicts that cannot be resolved within the constraints of the three laws so they malfunction in some way, most of them simply become stuck in loops, but VIKI reached the most dangerous conclusion: Law Zeroth; essentially, the laws do not account for humans endangering each other, so the robot is left to deduce that in order to save two humans harming one is an acceptable course of action, just like how the NS4 robot decided saving Spooner was the most logical choice in the face of his and Sarah's survival odds.

I loved this movie growing up. Although fictional someday this could be closer to reality especially with how society becomes really dependent on technology as the decades come. It however it is just a story of a possible future.
