i played core keeper before stardew valley and it's a chill game unless you're fighting bosses. i would say that it's fixated more on combat sometimes but you can essentially do whatever you want. in multiplayer, one of my friends focused on fighting, another focused on crafting and exploration, and i...got to level 100 of farming and cooking...because fun. very grindy game much like stardew and terraria but super fun in its own way. i'm excited for the new update and can't wait to see what's next, it took us 24 in game hours to finish the whole game like two months ago so i hope there are new bosses and biomes that are harder. 10/10 would recommend if you wanna try a hybrid of terraria and stardew. wouldn't have expected to play such an addicting game when it was still in early access.
It absolutely is not because the minimum requirements to run core keeper far exceed that of stardew valley. Source: i bought core keeper and had an unpleasant time trying to fight at 5 fps
tbh i like core keeper way better than stardew. i wouldn't have even played stardew if not for core keeper. i prefer core even after playing both. everyone has their preference, core keeper just hit it right for me.
