There was a significant speed feat in the first tournament arc with roshi and krillin how they were able to pull of a combination of attacks so quickly that the audience didnt even perceive what had happened. They had to physically act out what they did just when prompted by the announcer just to understand.
@@soloknight7197 that’s still a significant feat though? Just because it’s played off as comedic doesn’t make the feat non significant. Burter and Dyspo are faster than other warriors of similar power levels because they have a different biology.

Poor guy would be constantly getting tricked , whooping on those dumb enough to jump him , and helping out those who were nice to him. I think he would lose there in a goofy old school dragonball way. Maybe bringing in two of the same scroll, forgetting to grab a scroll from another team after a fight, or showing up too late carrying a heap of ninjas he saved that got beat up while in the forest of death.
First he would be in a group that would help out Second he wouldn't have much problem he beats them ez also with his staff he can look at things from above he's not that retarded

Shukaku took a direct sword hit from Gamabunta's building-sized sword and walked it off, Goku's kamehameha at this point in the story isn't doing anything.

Plus opening the gates would give Goku a zenkai boost every single time. At a certain point it becomes conceivable that Goku could hold the 8th gate of death in his base form without real strain. His biology literally only strengthens the technique.
I think this might actually be a fun idea. Kid Goku is probably stronger than Chunin exam characters, but Chunin exam characters would have different techniques that would close the gap in their combat power. I could see the fights being very close.

One of the things that makes Kid Goku so silly is his level of durability. He literally tanks being shot by Bulma with a point blank machine gun. Even if he wasn’t fast enough to compete with most of the other Naruto characters I doubt there is anything they could do that would be able to damage him physically. However, I’m not an expert on Naruto so I wouldn’t really know how strong the main cast of characters is at that point.
@@KingKraxy I try to give series a fair shot. And most of the top tier genin fold goku like an omlet. He has nothing on them in terms of speed or strength.
If we're talking Kid Goku, in the original DragonBall, then of course. It was more of a gag manga back then, and the recurring gag was Goku completely trampling over everyone's expectations, and doing things that nobody should be able to do with relative ease. He would pass the exams in flying colors in a way that suprises people, all in a name of a joke.
Considering that weapons are allowed in the Chunin Exams Goku might actually have his Power Pole with him, and that shit is kinda nuts. It would be as if Goku was using the same staff Enma changes into, which was something even Orochimaru didn't want to deal with.
That’s very tru also he would have at least senzu beans as flying nimbus , if gara can have his vase which is literally alive being I think goku would have nimbus
The first thing i also think of is he put that fucking rabbit on the moon in a matter of seconds with powerpole thats already like massively hypersonic
You have to keep in mind with the fights that they are a lot more than just numbers. If Roshi were to be in the exams there wouldn't be one contestant that could stand up to him, and Goku (though he couldn't beat Roshi) was able to go toe to toe with him. In terms of raw stats you could argue either being higher or lower than the average student, but when you see how he actually performs in these fights, he clearly punches above his weight class. The only students I see being a genuine problem for Goku are Naruto and Gara.
Maybe not even Gaara. Imagine if the fight plays out similarly to how his fight with with Sasuke went. I.e he stands still in a sand barrier. Goku would kamehameha that shit so hard, he might as well kill Gaara on accident. Now, Naruto is different. A fight between MCs is pretty much meaningless because they pretty much have to win in their franchise. In here you could throw every sort of hypotheticals, like, what is stopping goku from going super saiyan? The writers. What is stopping Naruto from getting the same amp he did against Sasuke in the valley of the end? The one where he gets a tail and everything. The writers. So to me it's pretty much a toss up

Goku understands ki way too well (you could easily substitute it for chakra, in its essence). Transformations likely wouldn’t fool him, but a regular enemy could manipulate him easily. However, he would have two teammates, who would help him significantly in the FoD. Also, in the FoD, we would have to assume Goku never has his tail, or else he would likely transform to Ozaru on the first night. People would likely think he was a summon, but when they see the damage he does, the proctors would step in and try to seal him lol I can just picture the villages tripping out… “IS THIS A NEW TAILED BEAST???”
I think its important to point out that while goku is naive his senses are very precise. even if someone uses transformation jutsu goku can simply smell who they are even from large distances away. considering forest of death that his teammates establish who friend and foe is to goku its unlikely that he would be tricked by anything outside genjutsu.
i think the 1st sentence is obvious in the year 2023. But it does make me wonder how people like Kiba would have done if there were ninja that could change their odor like in the fillers

You should not underestimate Goku when it comes to written exam. Basic education was a part of Master Roshi training, so he could earn a point or two as far as his education included ninja stuff :)
@@elianbrockington3956He struggled with basic addition in his FORTIES. @@lancekemal8989 did we forget about the DBS example? Goku had to use his hands to “pass” the U6 Exam that tested *basic congnitive skills that should be possessed by all sentient beings.* that means Goku is legit barely sentient all the way to his forties. He’s COOKED.
One small thing, why didn't you give Krillen and Yamcha as teammates? They would've carried him in the first two trials with no further explanation. Also these three should still have chakra, ki is practically the same thing. Lastly Goku uses the Afterimage Technique which is fast enough to create visible clones. Of course, people like Sasuke and Neji could ignore it but it does count for a crazy fast speed feet.
Even if we verse-equalize Ki and Chakra, Genjutsu works by manipulating certain chakra points to give an illusion. DB characters don’t have a chakra network, Ki flows freely, and unloke Chakra it can be manipulated outside of the body, suggesting that each person has a different type of Ki that they specifically can control. Meanwhile, Chakra between Naruto characters is essentially interchangeable. Even if Goku had a sort of Chakra network, they wouldn’t be able to control it because it wasn’t their Ki.
goku would be able to clean sweep the tournament part of the exams, goku would easily be able to out speed people, taking into account his saiyan dna his power would grow if he gets backed into a corner. he can also easily out perform most of the younger cast since they wont have enough chakra to compete with his Ki output. the only ones who'd be able to keep up and maybe give him a challenge would be naruto, sasuke and gaara for obvious reasons. everyone else wouldnt be much of a challenge because Ki is a superior energy source
@@Black0ut6961 hed just use the nimbus cloud and fly to the tower, as for the written part he'd likely mimic naruto and not answer a single question and just use his serious look and say he wont back down from a challenge
If we take Kid Goku like after the fight with Piccolo Dai-Mao aka before the training with Kami he could realistically win this kinda easily, no one would be no match. Pretty much any Goku after training with Master Roshi can easily pull off the chunin exams, and the Goku before could still pull it off but would have a HARDER time for sure.
I’m laughing at the idea of a ninja trying to jam up Gokus chakra points, only to discover with horror that he doesn’t have any *but is still so damn strong* And the last thing this ninja hears before getting smacked into the shadow realm is a cheerful Goku going “whoa, that was weird! My turn!”
It is important to know that winning the final match of the exams is not the same as passing. It can be assumed you have to at least get to the third stage finals to get promoted, but past that, you don't need to win, just show your skills. Shikamaru did not win the final match of the exams, but still passed. In fact the others who won their matches in the finals were not promoted. The entire exam is deceptive like that, most prominently in the written part. Moving on to the next stage and passing are separate, and what the proctor says about the exam is not 100% true. Its really about displaying skill and courage to see if the candidates could qualify for promotion in that exam or another. Then the chunin exams in Naruto will be interrupted by the sand/sound attack anyways so Goku would not even be able to win at all even if he could. Even if that were not to happen, 12y old Goku really does not have the mindset of a ninja so the proctors in charge of promoting ninja would fail him. Especially with how badly he would fail the information gathering test. It may not be needed to continue to the next grade, but they will certainly keep the score in mind for promotion. TLDR: Goku may or may not pass the fighting parts, but won't get the promotion and thus fail the exams.
@@wlm1697 they are correct however, that is how the exams work.. it's not being a "Narutard" it's not because Goku is weaker then Naruto characters.. it is simply how the exams work..
@@samuelhaverghast2442 Exactly! I love both DB and Naruto, and nothing about my comment was about one being better than another. I never got into the scaling of characters because I wanted to talk about the narrative aspect of the exams. With how the Chunin Exams are structured, its really hard for anyone to actually win, especially those from other series. The reason why is 1. Its made to take multiple tries for most ninja to pass, 2. You have to meet the standards for a chunin ninja in not just strength but mindset, and 3. the exams we know the most about are interrupted so no one can win the exams themselves. Now if you define winning as beating everyone up instead of being promoted to chunin, that's way easier. Characters without the mindset of a ninja could win then. Thank you for reading my overly long post about silly drawings.

139 was Roshi's power level for the entirety of OG Dragonball, yes, but he was still way out of shape during the 21st Budokai so a Goku who could match him wouldn't necessarily have to be at that level, especially since we know that passing Korin's training (which was something that Roshi did long ago, before he stagnated) was a massive power boost for Kid Goku, and Roshi got more back into his groove and fought at levels comparable to 22nd Budokai Tenshinhan and Goku 3 years later without increasing his power levels. Also, Farmer with a Shotgun's power level of 5 probably isn't really a valid point of comparison since that dude almost certainly didn't even know how to actually access his ki to boost himself. Fights like Kaiou Ken X 1 Goku vs. Nappa and Vegeta vs. Kuei seem to indicate that even a 30% difference in power levels between people who know how to use their ki makes the more powerful person significantly more than twice as fast as the weaker one, as well as strong enough to oneshot them. Someone else had probably also pointed out that full-power Roshi destroyed that mountain by accident while trying to gently blow away the fire it was engulfed with, because that Roshi was incredibly out of shape to the point where he even needed help climbing onto a low fence/wall. Also, Chidori, especially during the Chuunin exam, was nowhere even remotely near lightning spreds, since the lightning stays around his hand and the sharingan was just needed to let him run at his full base speed without accidentally missing if any ninja in his general reflex tier tried to dodge. Heck, a much stronger and faster version of Sasuke flat out said that real lightning is way faster than lightning chakra when he used Kirin against Itachi.
What's particulary interesting and good about your videos isn't only your analysis of each situation, but over all the fact you're using DB and early DBZ references, reminding us these parts of the manga and how great DB will always be.
To be fair, Goku even before Budokai tournament could create copies of himself by just moving real fast, indicating that at that level (power level 30-70) he could already reach hypersonic or near-hypersonic speeds. Considering that Lee's 5-gate outburst was considered extreme speed upgrade, and he could reach roughly similar kinds of speed there, I'd say Goku is solid in the speed department. Not to mention durability is a massive factor here, everyone in Narutoverse would start bleeding if stabbed with sharp object, but Goku in the meantime could take literal bullets to forehead and just feel slight ouchie. Granted, some Narutoverse moves like illusion/substitution, control, Neji's rotation techniques etc. etc. etc. would make still comparing levels tricky.
Before being trained by Roshi, Goku had to run a certain distance, he did it in 4 seconds or less I think, which was exceptional at the time. So that can be used as a measurement of speed.
100 meter dash in 8 seconds. 1.58 seconds faster than Usain Bolt. And this is before he was trained by Master Roshi to exceed human limitations. After Roshi's training, In their first martial arts tournament the audience was unable to perceive parts Roshi and Krillins fight
@@ryanreverie5242 bruh you missed the point. goku was running a second faster than a real person Usain Bolt. it implies he has speed slightly above a human irl which means hed get speed blitzed in naruto.
@@farewell4531That was from before he started training under Roshi, while this video is about his performance at the level of his first tournament arc, where he's able to easily keep track of Kuririn and Roshi/Jackie Chan when they were having an entire fight scene with a break to plan strategy and play a game of rock-paper-scissors so fast that normal humans only saw them flash step past one another, and then outsped Roshi/Jackie Chun in the final match. Not to mention that only a few days after the tournament he was leaving behind a whole bunch of afterimages at the start of his training with Korin. Not to mention that he's probably significantly stronger and more durable than Rock Lee, since he's easily shoving rocks larger than a house before his training arc finished and then doing stuff like jumping straight through the clouds and only being momentarily stunned from Namu landing on a pressure point attack on his throat with the full weight of their adult body after also jumping to a similar height during the actual tournament.

I do think that Goku at the time of the 21st tenkaichi budokai would do well in the chuunin exam. I do agree that Goku wouldn't pass the first exam if he had to answer the questions, but he would pass just like Naruto did with courage. The second exam is definitely something that Goku could pass. While Goku could be tricked, he's also strong enough to defeat enemy ninja and get 2 scrolls. As for the third exam, kid Goku at the time of the 21st tenkaichi budokai would have a harder time with the likes of Gaara, Lee, Neji, Sasuke, and Naruto than one might think, but I do think that kid Goku can defeat these opponents, even if it wasn't easy, and especially if Goku was given a month to prepare.
If we assume Goku would be training in the month off after the 3rd exam (which is not even close to being out of character), Goku would wash the whole Chunin exam.
Rock Lee at his absolute fastest mimics Goku's afterimage technique which he does casually, Goku basically has the body flicker technique and can use it in combat which most jonin struggle with
Interesting thing to consider: can you fit the RRA saga into a month? Assuming Goku wins the Preliminary round and does the same thing he did after the 21st Budokai, as long as he at least gets Korin’s training it’s basically game over for everyone else at the exams.
Goku takes on Gaara, Gaara uses sand shield, Gaara hears “Its kind if cramped in here isnt it”, Gaara shits himself to death, Goku disqualified for murder
Well, funny thing is, even if he wins the tournament, he probably won't actually pass (especially the 1st). And in the 3rd exam i'm not sure he'll show enough brains - he'd likely fall in to the "I'll Never Give Up!" trap instead. Say for example if his opponent was gaara (im using someone who can withstand his hits pre-22nd World tournament lol). He's capable of figuring things out similar to Naruto, but just like his fellow orange-clad hero, I see Goku succeeding by simply hitting him harder lmao. basically, there will never be a chance to show him being capable of using "better judgement" and being a leader
Explaining the 1st exam: unlike Naruto, he wouldn't go into that internal monologue, panic, then spout about how he'll never give up. Goku is more likely to write random stuff/draw on the paper or cheat (hot take). I also see Goku falling asleep - which is unironically his best chance of passing, but he'd get hungry before that most likely. The 2nd exam is where he shines. Imagine Lee without the weights, with Kiba's senses. He'd get to the tower in record time

There is no way on god’s green earth that Naruto or any other Gen’in except for Full Power Rock Lee or MAYBE Neiji can match Goku in close combat. I’d be especially devastating if Goku were to copy Neiji’s Gentle Fist and early-unlock the Dragon Fist Technique. Dragon Fist is able to significantly damage opponents that are substantially stronger than he is, meaning that he could probably break Gaara’s Sand with it. Even so, it’s still a tossup. Goku’s skilled in close combat, but he can definitely be outsmarted by any number of Gen’in.
Funny thing is that I just bought the first box set of Naruto recently and I’ve been reading through the chiming exams, and Goku is one of my favorite anime characters of all time so this was a pretty fun watch!
5:13 I think it would be fair to treat Ki energy as Chakra. Ki is life energy, the physical energy that is combined with spiritual energy to create Chakra.
Before even watching, Yes, Yes he could. Kid Goku, not only did he have super natural strength, he has high perception level too. He's not very bright but he'd be able to easily follow any movements people make so trying to trick him with decoys and such would fail.
I wonder if gokus after image would be fast enough at this point to be imperceptible unless with sharingan, cuz if that were the case, he could have cheated the 1st exam by leaving an after image in his place then potentially jumping to the ceiling if he thinks ibiki can't see how fast he's moving
Goku absolutely bodies the entire verse at the point in that series. He obviously doesn't scale to Roshis Moon busting Kamehameha, but he still is incredibly strong at the point. Characters only get that strong when Six Paths powers are introduced.
@@luciofilipe How? Kid Goku tanks bullets to the head in the first chapter of the manga and that was with a power level of 10. He's at 120 by the tournament.
you are the first person i have seen well point out that the early power levels are very exponential and i am glad to see that as it was always an annoyance with me that they very much changed with impact
Kid Goku around the time of the 21st Strongest Under the Heavens Martial Arts tournament could go toe to toe with Roshi, indicating a few things: -Goku has few techniques at this point, essentially being absurdly strong and durable to carry him through most fights. -HOWEVER, Goku is a Martial Arts SAVANT. He’s dumb as a brick… EXCEPT WHEN IT COMES TO COMBAT. At this stage, Goku has only begun to hone his incredible martial arts prowess, but it still shines through instinctively. -This makes it VERY tough for characters that rely on Strategy to get one over on Goku, because Goku doesn’t use strategy: he just does what his instinct suggests is the best thing to do in that moment, and even when he was a kid this put seasoned martial arts masters on the back foot despite them being more powerful than him in terms of raw power. People who use strategies against Goku will find themselves countered by some out-of-left-field strategy they couldn’t expect. -The thing is, I think for the sake of this contest Goku WOULD have a “chakra network”, but it would be completely alien to anything on planet Earth because, well, Goku’s a Saiyan, not a human. After all, Ki and pressure points ARE a thing in Dragon Ball, so it’s entirely possible that Naruto’s chakra and Dragon Ball’s Ki are one and the same. Thus, Neji would be unable to make heads or tails of Goku’s Chakra network, and Goku’s instinctive quick thinking would fold Neji before he could suss out ways to exploit Goku’s weird-flowing and alien Chakra. -Fighting against Rock Lee would be the ultimate Bro vs. Bro fight, two “Taijutsu” fighters giving it their all against each other, and Goku WOULD let Rock Lee go all out against him. Goku LIVES for the thrill of battle, so Goku would gladly face off against Rock Lee’s best… but Rock Lee’s abilities damage his own body. Goku’s don’t. While Kid Goku doesn’t have crazy movement techniques or flight yet, he is still faster than the human eye can perceive: Krillin and Roshi fought so fast that the announcers had to stop the fight and ask the two of them what in the world happened in their fight. That indicates punching and combat speed somewhere around 500+ Mach speed. Mach speed 1 is the speed of sound in air at standard conditions, so five hundred times faster than that is how fast Goku’s punches can be thrown, even as a kid. Rock Lee would go down eventually, but it would be the most badass and honorable fight of the entire exam. -Gaara would be a challenge, but this is probably where Kid Goku would break out the Kamehameha. One way to counter a mobile defense is an area attack that locks down all that mobility in one spot, allowing Goku to blitz past the sand and clock Gaara hard. Again, Goku could throw a 500+ Mach number punch, and his instinctive battle sense would suggest such a tactic to Kid Goku, who would eventually execute it after fighting Gaara for a while to figure out the capabilities of Gaara’s sand. Plus, we see time and time again how fighters using gimmicks against Goku get countered and defeated by Goku’s instinctive battle sense, which he had even as a kid. So Goku would win this fight too. -Sasuke is an interesting one. With his Sharingan, it’s possible Sasuke could copy the Kamehameha… IF HE HAS THE CHAKRA TO POWER IT. But would Sasuke copy the beam attack? Not at first; like with his fight against Gaara, Sasuke would copy Goku’s movements with his Sharingan, and be able to go toe to toe with Goku in terms of martial arts prowess. The question is: how long could Sasuke keep up with Goku, who can go toe to toe with Roshi who could blast away a mountain when exerting his full power? Also, the strange chakra network and Saiyan chakra Goku would theoretically have would make it VERY hard to copy properly, even though the Sharingan would lay all that info out for Sasuke to stare at and despair at properly copying. Now, Sasuke has the Curse Mark, AND he has the Chidori. The Chidori can “cut” most anything, but if you can see it coming, you can avoid or counter it, and it takes a bit to properly charge. Sasuke could in theory draw on the Orochimaru curse mark and overcharge a Chidori to finish off Goku. The question is: can Sasuke do that fast enough before Goku’s instinctive battle sense realizes something is wrong, and he moves to interrupt Sasuke charging the Chidori? Goku naturally would force Sasuke to use EVERYTHING HE’S GOT to put him down, and Goku would need to be on the offensive the whole time, breaking Sasuke’s “genius” one instinctive maneuver at a time. Sasuke can copy the moves, but the Sharingan cannot copy the battle instinct of the warrior that wields these moves, which means at first Goku would dominate despite Sasuke managing to stay in the fight, forcing Sasuke to use everything he has to finish off this weird kid with an alien physique and chakra. In the original Naruto, we can see with that final confrontation between Naruto and Sasuke that Sasuke is prone to panicking once he starts running out of options, and facing off against Goku would push him to that limit. One panicked full power Chidori attempt may give Goku the opening to end the fight for good, knocking Sasuke unconscious and ending the battle. -Naruto… THIS is where things get down right FASCINATING! Their strengths are very different, though their will to win and to compete is similar. But, their motivations are different. Naruto fights to make the world a better place: Goku fights because he finds it fun, he gets off on a good combat. Naruto’s insane Chakra reserves could go toe to toe with Goku’s Ki, but at this stage in the manga Naruto’s Ki does have limits. Namely, Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Fox. It is entirely possible that Goku pushes Naruto’s body to the point that Kurama’s chakra starts leaking out, and Naruto starts losing control. Goku would see that this incredibly willful but good-hearted fighter is actually holding back a beast inside of him, one that seeks to destroy EVERYTHING. Goku upon seeing Naruto amp up would end the fight as fast as he could, but he may not be able to stop Naruto. Worst-case scenario is that Kurama fully escapes because of the stress of the battle, and tries to go on a rampage. Goku can’t fight Kurama… NORMALLY. GREAT APE KID GOKU CAN EASILY GO TOE TO TOE WITH EACH OTHER AT THIS STAGE. Saiyans in Great Ape form can conquer planets, and all it takes is for the full moon to be out and Goku would transform against his will. Great Ape Kid Goku would also rampage, but would eventually see Kurama as a threat and would do everything in his power to bring Kurama down, maybe long enough for the seals in Naruto’s body to be reconstituted and Kurama be re-sealed. Perhaps the other Ninja would realize the connection between seeing the full moon and Kid Goku’s transformation (heck, the Hyuga clan may even figure out the connection between the tail and the transformation, and find a way to cut off Goku’s tail, reverting him back). So Naruto and Goku would be interesting, but their combat styles are very different. Goku’s combat prowess is naturally better than Naruto’s at base, and just a little training makes Goku a legit problem to his own masters. Naruto’s willpower and refusal to give up is larger than Goku’s willpower, and Naruto has shown even as a kid that he can overcome skill gaps between him and his opponents through sheer force of will. In short, both would cancel each other out, Goku’s skill advantage getting overpowered by Naruto’s determination but Goku’s raw innate power being a mountain Naruto would be forced to climb. So this would certainly be a tie, though it would be more likely that if it came down to a Kurama vs Great Ape battle that Kurama would win, if the other Ninja did not interfere to stop Kurama from fully escaping.
@@djantouahmed7319 not really if it's a technique. does instant transmission require you to be able to move instantaneously? no, because then the technique would be redundant. besides, goku and roshi aren't the only characters that create after images. killua from hunter x hunter uses a similar technique that creates after images and he's far slower than goku is.
@@Coldskin1 a) it's not a speed feat, and b) i'm well aware of how the after image technique is used in dragon ball. it doesn't matter that goku can create multiple after images. the after image technique serves the same purpose as shadow clones in naruto, except in this case these "clones" can't move. the user of the technique just moves fast enough to leave behind an image of themself behind, to confuse their enemy and gear up for a counter attack. being able to move so fast that you create an after image is really not all that impressive, considering that fact that normal humans in real life can create after images. try waving your hand back and forth really fast, and you'll see a slight after image. you can do the same for a pencil or pen, it's called the rubber pencil trick. hell, even fans and hellicopter blades create after images. i don't get why people think after images are so impressive speed wise. an after image only requires moving faster than the eye can see. so to answer your question, after images are not beyond what early naruto characters can achieve, considering they're either faster than sound, or faster than lightning with certain techniques.
If he lucked out and passed the initial exam, he would easily pass the rest. I believe he would pass the first exam. Simply because he'd just believe in himself, and go forward.
How fast would you have to move to create an after image? I assume at least several times the speed of sound. You also don’t need to move at the speed of lightning to use the chidori. The raikage is known for his lightning speed, and sasuke couldn’t exactly keep up with him way later in the series. So i would say speed is comparable. Goku was able to jump into the clouds, and able to move a boulder the size of city apartment building. Also could power through girens gum, which is strong enough to hold a huge river dam together. So his strength is definitely superior. I believe gokus only difficulty in the finals, sasuke or maybe gaara. Simply because sasuke has the sharingan, and gara has an ultimate defense. However i dont think Goku would be affected by gaara’s sand burial. His durability was astounding and being crushed by boulders and able to escape without harm. I give goku a win on this.
Killer Bee also showed that you don’t need to out-speed the sharingan to have an advantage against it. Just because an Uchiha can see it, doesn’t guarantee his body can react to it on time. Goku need to distract Sasuke with feints to bait him into not dodging hits.
You oversimplify this... Goku VS Gaara - If you compare Goku's feats to Lee's, you would see that Lee has him beat physucally and yet he couldn't even beat Gaara. So Goku loses. Goku VS Neji - Goku doesn't have a way to deal with Neji's Rotation which renders all of Goku's attacks useless. And even if Goku doesn't have a chakra system, Neji still can do damage with the strong and gentle fist. Plus Neji has near 360 degree vision and is way smarter in general and in battle to Goku. Goku VS Sasuke - This he could win but not without a lot of difficulty due to the Sharingan and Chidori. Goku VS Naruto - In base, Naruto will struggle but Goku will have difficulty dealing with the near endless number of clones and Naruto's absurd stamina that is only enhanced by using Kurama's chakra. In the end, Goku would lose as he can't outlast Naruto.
Bro Goku was MOVING MOUNTAINS BEFORE HIS FIRST MARTIAL ARTS TOURNAMENT. He was also killing monsters BIGGER THAN OROCHIMARU'S SNAKE. The he was dragging their big ass bodies back to his house Not sure how to compare speed at this point but power-wise there is no comparison Goku STOMPS. I don't care how heavy those weights are, they aint heavier than a Mountain
@@jdrmanmusiqkingFirst off, Goku didn't move any mountain, just large boulders. Secondly, the size of a creature is less important than its toughness. The snake is at least Raditz level. And lastly, Lee literally can destroy a large boulder like what Goku moved in base.
The fastest feat in the Chunin Exams is Lee breaking the sound barrier with the Gates to beat Gaara around. Sasuke is only faster than Base Lee, and so are Neji and Naruto. How are they 'high hypersonic'? I don't agree with the Multi City-Block level thing. All that snake did was crush trees. Even if that wasn't so, only a transformed Gaara would scale physically. You were right about Goku not scaling to Roshi's full power, at least.
Based on the title of the video, no he doesn't pass the Chunin Exams, he can be the strongest one their but that's not the requirement to pass the Chunin Exams. There's a reason why Shikamaru made Chunin and everyone else didn't.
I would say its possible for Goku to see through the trasformation tactic due to his keen sense of smell and possibly being able to tell somethings off due to a different in fragrance
Based online on what I could find, Goku in the 21st Tournament would have a PL of about 86 or so making his Great Ape 860. Full-power Roshi had a PL of 180 which was capable of destroying the moon. As for Naruto and Sasuke, they would have a PL of about 41 during the Chunin Exames and then they would both have a PL of about 68 during the Konoha Invasion. My source for the Naruto power levels comes from SethTheProgrammer and the DB ones from a list from a picture from Kanzenshuu.
There is a type of curve that works pretty well(but not perfectly) when plotting DB power levels, it is called a logarithmic curve. You start with ludicrous gains but the chart swiftly levels out until it becomes nearly a straight line. This would explain not only Goku being many thousands, of times stronger than a normal person at a Power Level of 10, but would also explain why Power Level numbers were ballooning so quickly toward the end of their lifespan. Characters may have actually been gaining similar proportional gains to earlier Dragon Ball, however since each increase in number for their power level is worth less, they seem to have these dramatic jumps from 9,000 to 180,000 to 3,000,000 to 150,000,000
Even with those massive jumps, the actual destructive power remained pretty much the same. While 5 to 10 was normal human to building level which is like a 10,000X power difference, both Base Namek Goku and Final Form Frieza are Dwarf Star on opposite ends of the boundary. The boundary between the weakest and strongest of that tier is pretty big but nowhere near as big as the difference between the strength of a regular human and a building destroyer despite the fact that the gap in their power levels is far larger.
I had to pause cause he said Goku wouldn't cheat on the written test but literally showed a panel where Goku got a 50 on his test cause he cheated off of Vegeta lol
Oh wow, this might be the most balanced and well though out scaling of ealry db and power levels. I would love to see a chart picturng power levels and different stats (probably with more than one like to represent different assumptions)
just winning the fights doesn't guarantee you pass the exam as Shikamaru lost his fight but was the only one promoted after in konoha. His talents as a ninja are on trail. critical thinking subterfuge endurance information gathering and combat strength are all being tested. and kid goku falls short is too many categories to pass.
Bro goku literally finds out ways to defeat much stronger opponents before the match begins and drags out the fights just to see what they and himself are capable of
I don't think goku's mayor speed feat is dodging the laser. By the first tournament he's doing the afterimage technique like its nothing (literally moving so fast that it looks that there are multiple of you) and when fighting Roshi the presenter says that they are going so fast that he can't see them. Both of those things are light speed+ feats.
@@leethewarlord i doubt you can wiggle a pen fast enough to have ten afterimages of itself, totally separated from each other and so perfect that is imposible to know by sight which one is the real pen, all at the same time. Dragon ball afterimages are multiple time lightspeed feats.
@@aritzmartinezrodriguez1825 Dude don't be dense, just wiggle a pen or something and you'll see what I mean. The way afterimages work in anime wouldn't happen irl because it isn't possible. I'm just saying you can leave an afterimage without it being a faster than light feat.
Not a ftl feat tho people dunno what ftl is 1000 kmh would be enough to make people confused if he was ftl he would found all dragon balls in 1min what contradicts himself
And people saying travel speed is not fight speed😂😂 at traveling U only have to straight so U should be even faster lmao if he was ftl the dragon balls adventure would make no sense but people have brain like goku🤣
Roshi's training was a much bigger power boost for Goku than his training with Korin, proportionately. Roshi explicitly trained Goku and Krillin to completely surpass normal human limitations. This Goku can jump hundreds of feet at a shot, move faster than the eye can see and perform other insane feats of strength.
@@imitating4ngels you could've just said which kid goku it was. I thought it was kid goku at his peak. What's your issue? that did you watch the video wasn't needed.
@@speedbeyondlogic it was needed because the video clearly states which goku the youtuber is using. your comment would be completely redundant if you even watched 3 minutes of it.
One of the first tests that Roshi did to Krillin and Goku was a 100m sprint, in which they ran well under 2 seconds i believe, so speed wise, one thing is what you see on the show, another thing is the perspective of a regular human. I don't think Sasuke was stronger and faster than 5 gates Neji, but he managed to find a way to break into Gaara's sand armor by using better strategies and, well, the Sharingan. Goku was already capable of moving tall boulders and run close to the speed of sound as a newbie Roshi student.
For the exam portion Goku can either communicate telepathically with a teammate or he can use after image where he moves so quickly that you can’t even see him move and swipe some answers for himself!
Downplaying how fast these characters were a bit. Roshi and Krillin had a full on battle, germ warfare, short convo, played rock paper scissors.. all in the blink of an eye lol
Not a snowball's chance he passes the Chunin exam from early Naruto. He'd get absolutely bodied on the written exam. Goku's barely literate. Can't absolutely steamroll the practical portions of the exam if you can't get to 'em. Gotta remember. Naruto was a rude little imp but he chose to act out that way because of other issues in his life. He knew how to act properly if he felt it was necessary and that includes in school. Goku, on the other hand, half-raised himself in the woods after his grandpa died when he was still to young to even have entered the Ninja Academy if he had been in that world. His lack of social grace is the result of his upbringing, such as it was. Goku would've tried to cheat because he's clever enough he'd have either figured it out or his lack of social understanding would've prevented him from understanding that it was morally wrong. If he had grown up in the ninja world, it would 100% be the former because if there was one thing Goku did throughout the entire dragonball saga it was obey his instructors almost without question. He's basically never shown any capacity for stealth and almost none for subterfuge though. Forest of death; absolute brute-force win. No problem. Tournament; laughable cake-walk. The power-scaling in DB and Naruto is just too different for him not to have been an unstoppable force at age 12-13, when he took on the Tenkaichi Budoukai the first time. Written exam; totally unmitigated failure.
@@senpai5175 Nope. Plot-armor pass. He didn't get caught cheating because he didn't try and the first 9 questions were tossed out when the tenth was accepted. Accepting the tenth question was the correct answer to it so he passed without having ever actually written anything on the sheet but his name. Goku would've tried and would've got caught because of personallity differences between him and Naruto.
What would be really funny is to watch goku do the written exams, since both Naruto and goku are known to be stupid but funny and overpowered, I'd have a chuckle at watching goku trying figure out multiple choice question, but if passes goku might honestly slam the rest with ease taking in account how op and wonky kid gokus scaling is 😭
I can tell you put a lot of work into this video, but I can't help but be disappointed. Whether or not Goku can beat them in a fight is a no brainer, so I was most intrigued to hear about the forest of death, which in the end you said you were just gonna skip to talk about the fights.
The thing people have to realize about farmer with shotgun having a power level of 5 is that it’s because he was a farmer WITH SHOTGUN. The shotgun is what raised his battle power above a normal person.
thats true it is shown that the scouter evaluates equipment's along with body like when goku and piccolo power level increase when they took of their weighted clothing
City block level? Bro Goku was moving literal mountains during the Roshi training BEFORE the tournament... Goku was murking Giant Dinosaurs bigger than Orochi's snake before even meeting Roshi.... You are greatly understating Goku's base strength and speed. Krillin and Goku were so fast that they had to replay their fight in slow motion for announcer bro The rest of the analysis was interesting and really had me thinking but the strength analysis was sus. Dragonball characters just scale differently than most shows so most of these comparisons are silly. DB characters were bulletproof very early on ninjustsu and kunai wouldn't do anything If Goku passed the written, the rest would be pure cake walk city
thats not a mountain, thats a bolder the miniunum high for a mountain is 2000 feet, taller than skycrappers, the rock that goku and krillin pushed is only like 30 feet. atleast its over 100 tons
@@Coldskin1 bro rewatch "Goku and Krillin move rock 480p" That thing wasnt a mountain but it was MASSIVE and child goku moved it while wearing the weighted turtle shell. Oh yeah and this was BEFORE ROSHI TRAINING! He had to move the rock just to earn training from Roshi in the first place... Goku after the 21st Budokai is no lower than Kage level but probably higher
@@linyenchin6773 regardless, Goku after the 21 Budokai would absolutely stomp the Narutoverse save for the dudes at the top like Madara, Juubi, End Game Naruto/Sasuke etc Lee is getting absolutely folded
Oh no. Lonk's my guy! Gaara's sand easily scales to hypersonic as it was able to block a close range explosion, calcing it to around Mach 29+. And this was a younger gaara, who was a kid. So his sand would have gotten much much faster. As well Naruto's feats against the Snake were calced to scale to Small Town Level, and you could argue base naruto should scale to that same forest of death kyubbi cloaked naruto. One final thing to note is that scalign sasuke to fifth gate lees punches Via the guidebook statements is impossible as Lee has blatantly better strength showings to sasuke while in his base and not using the gates.
Naruto's feats against the Snake were calced to scale to Small Town Level the calc is just fan made head canon naruto was pushed against a tree, no way you can prove that feat is any way near town level gaara sand tsumoni the closest thing any near town level, but gaara vs deidara is the real town level feat.
I would say Goku's speed is relative between his 139 and 180 self simply due to the fact that Roshi was able to keep up with Tien's speed and Tien had a battle power of 180 in the 22nd TB. I think his senses, adaptiveness, and raw speed really seal the deal. Plus Kamehameha should amp his power to over 260 which is UDW level where he was consistently lightning timing in even his movement speed. I was surprised how short the actual "answer" section of the video was. I thought it would be a breakdown of Goku vs each of those 5.
Dude I haven't even watched this video and for all my love of Naruto, even Kid Goku was approaching light speed and was one of the best martial artists on Earth so yeah I say he can easily pass the physical parts but whoever his teammates are have to hard carry the written part.
@@heroricspiritfreinen38 I mean when I made the comment, meaning I knew Goku was gonna pass the exams because of how powerful he was even as a kid. ...Minus the writing exam.
@@UbermanPrime really? Maybe I misremembered how fast he was but even still isn't Kid Goku stronger than anyone in the chunin exams besides Unsealed Shukaku-Gaara?
5:17 I like the idea of taking someone from one series and putting him in another without augmenting their biology to fit that of the series they're dropped in, he having Ki and them having Chakara...
thats a bad way to do a VS. you need to equalize them otherwise youre nerfing characters by taking away techniques - especially if its their specialty. that would be like having an Itachi vs Goku debate and saying Itachi cant use Genjutsu... whats the point then? he is basically mr.Genjutsu
@@DrippUP And that's an opinion. and it's not like it gives one character the whole advantage, for example, Goku can't borrow energy from friends, the spirit bomb from Z is off the table and any chakra techniques are unavailable to Goku, and the Goku from this era doesn't have many Ki techniques at this point, and learning any new ones can't be possible if everyone else uses chakra.
@@Solesteam it comes off as bad faith. either everyone has full access to their arsenal the character has at that point or these debates make no sense. the only thing that should be cut is non-canon stuff or composite characters. technically Itachi was a bad example because his genjutsu WILL work on Goku. but i see the argument all the time of "he dont have chakra" and its such a fkn cop out on top of being incorrect Goku having a spirit bomb is possible, he isnt taking Ki from just people.. hes literally taking the lifeforce of ALL living things. the fkn trees and grass give him energy when you start taking things off the table instead of equalizing you appear to be biased..thats how it looks
@@DrippUP "the only thing that should be cut is non-canon stuff" But Goku having Chakra wouldn't be cannon now would it? And the other characters can still use chakra techniques on other characters of that world, and I'm sure not every technique is fully reliable on the opponent having chakra, so it's not that absurd. And as far as I see, your the only one who finds it biased, I find it an interesting twist that will have both advantages and also disadvantages for both sides. Goku would also be unable to sende anybody due to them not having ki to sense.
No, he would not, he would win the battle that is for sure, but the Chunin exams isn't just about battle strength, its a test of leadership skills and the abiltiy to think ahead to complete the mission as safely as possible so that there is chance.. you and your squad, comes home..it is why Shikamaru became Chunin, he had all those qualities they were looking for, it took the rest of the rookies 2 to 3 years to become chunin
Dunno, If Demon king piccolo can wipe literal large cities with a single blast, then Kid goku would still be a scary foe. And if he had his great ape form, it'd go crazy.
@@justapersonz5441 Yeah but you know how fanboys can be, feats of strength only matter to the series they like, so we lowball Goku highball Naruto and boom, Goku after his teens dominates all of them lowballed or not.
We also need to account for the month of training in between the FoD and the tournament. Goku was able to complete the Karin’s tower training in three days. Even if you have Goku stuck in the Naruto world without access to Karin tower, he would still probably get ALOT stronger in that month, especially because he has a goal to shoot for. After being tricked so many times in the FoD, he would probably increase his ability to see through deception as well. The scariest things about Goku aren’t necessarily his power level, but his power _growth_ and his ability to pick up skills after only seeing them once, like the kamehameha and the zanzoken. He was also able to learn techniques on yardrat and in otherworld that were significantly different than ki, so I think he could probably mimic some chakra techniques, if not immediately, then certainly during the month of training.
well actually goku before the tournament was able to hit monster carot so hard that he bounced off the manga panel making goku able to solo all of fiction 🤓🤓
The thought of Goku fighting Hinata, Sasuke, Neji and Lee JUST to learn their techniques is scary. In fact, Goku would see Shadow clones once and fiend for that technique so he can train dozens of times a day everyday
10:16 Honestly, I feel like early Dragonball isn't too consistent with power, focusing more on the story than logic, there's literally a guy who can turn people into carrots with a touch who's power had no basis or much of an explanation till Z where Majin buu has the Candy beam of which we can only assume uses Ki and is similar to the rabbit guy... Goku would probably do good and for plot reasons loose last minute so he can learn a lesson on humility and also to never stop improving himself...
Next video suggestions: 1. Could Piccolo pass the Chunin exams? 2. Could Piccolo become a hero in My Hero Academia? 3. Could GOHAN become a hero in My Hero Academia?
It's an interesting watch, but there are a few things that seem inconsistent here. You say that Great Ape Goku would have a Power Level in the 1000s and that Roshi was stronger than that, but then also say that powerlevels are non linear and that people can get many times stronger and be represented with only a slight change. If the second is true, then Great Ape Goku and Max Power Roshi would not have a powerlevel in the 1000s and not be able to output the same power as Raditz in a single attack. This seems consistent that it would not be true to assume that when you remember that very early into Z that Piccolo was able to easily instantly destroy the moon with his ki blast when Gohan transformed. Looking at this way also makes more sense because you don't have to justify the possibility of thinking that Max Power Roshi was actually stronger than King Piccolo... when it's pretty obvious he wasn't.
There are a few things about Goku, even at his young age, not covered in this video: - Goku learned on the spot through the trainings he'd undergone up to point of the 21st tourney: he'd either have to be permanently immobilized or outright killed from any of the Naruto verse characters; otherwise, he'd simply have that "I've seen this once, so it's literally not going to work again," rendering their unique hacks and skills meaningless - Goku was extremely perceptive: though he lacked academic intelligence (sheerly through never having had a complete formal academic education), he wasn't retarded in how he perceived the world around him: the notion that Naruto verse characters would trick him into him losing his scrolls to them is based on Goku's desire to be friends with Krillin - intentional innocence. Anyone, even Goku's imaginary teammates in this video, could simply tell him the point of the scrolls, and he'd be on-point. - Goku was a tank. Naruto, the character himself AND as a climax-inducing adult tool of a series, uses the power of "I'll never give up!" to plot-armor its way through anything. While Goku had moments of similar mentality, this manner of writing was never the point of the series or its characters; Goku legitimately waded through every difficulty he encountered because he was ACTUALLY competent and capable. I like all the attempts to power scale the verses with various feats and explanations; it's a solid way to approach these "what-ifs" objectively. But there are characterization factors for Goku that supersede these cross-verse factor points which outweigh any balancing of power and feats. (As an aside fight, it'd be a good watch having the immediate post-Gara / Tsunade's-miracle-surgery-for-plot-armor Rock Lee go up against teen Goku.)
