At Rook's Rest, Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen Who Never Was, arrived alone with her dragon, Meleys, the Red Queen, to aid Lord Staunton. Criston Cole, anticipating this, had his archers and scorpions ready to attack Meleys. However, the dragon emerged largely unscathed from their assault and retaliated by burning Criston's soldiers with dragonfire.
