He definitely didn't get a promise to start. In his first interview post-signing he said he would LIKE to start but would do whatever the team needed him to do to win. 5:01

Cuz he's AWESOME. Love that dude so much. If Fox hadn't promised to make us relevant again and stuck around and made it happen, he'd be my all-time favorite King already. He's gonna haveta share with Fox tho😂

Highly disagree. You only say he shouldn’t start because that’s what you’ve seen him do in sac. Monk started half the season in LA and played way better as a starter. The kings are holding their selves back by not starting monk. He’s by far the best 2 guard on the team. You can still very easily stagger minutes. I would bet my bank account monk starts this season. I’m not sure why sac fans think the way they do. Everyone outside of sac already have monk starting,

But Monk isn’t really a 2 guard which is the reason he comes off the bench. He plays more like a point guard leading the second unit. It just makes way more sense with the way he fits into the team, instead of just starting based on talent.
