Those guys have so much knowledge to give with words . Clown gotta be one of the smartest minds in this industry.. he always fills a gap that we all needed . Forever the Knot !!
It's not cocky. It's more confidence. Cocky is when you're biting off more than you could chew. Clown has the evidence to back his claim. Plus, you gotta show some ego/passion in the industry. Cuz if you have no faith in your own work, then others won't either.
As a fan I say that what Shawn say is very authentic, the part beyond masks, I listen to slipknot from teenage, and in the beginning was the hype, the visual, then the music, then when i diggest all of that still the meaning of the music with myself, like I was teenage and I pass through some things and have something to help me process what i as through, and when was more old, like 23, with the professional challanges, relashionships, in their music I find the stimulus to keep my working, putting effort when I was 'tired', with them I could go foward, break that wall, and now I am 29, get that amazing album, when I was in the best moment in my life, It was a kind of crazy thing, but with 29 comes new things too, like future, family, and this album open my mind to those things too, this is very transforming, in special not accept things that come like responsabilities, but think beyond. is amazing the way that the art affects you, and have Shawn talking about this, how their make their music is very pleasing, what their think, very cool. In this moment i'm beggining to enjoy and drink whisky, and is cool that they are realeasing to, this give me that calliber, the kind of thing that I only feel after a hard trainning on the gym, but is good to relax too. Hopeful to what the future reserves.
@@FredMinnick Yeah, I think that taking off the excitement I get to the point. Congratulations on interview, you drive it very well, having a conversation very close to what I imagine a talk with a drink is, personal subject, some honest depoiments and as fan I appreciated it.
When ever there is a interview with any of Slipknot member and the interviewer mentions anything about Paul... Makes me miss Paul even more but knowing that all of Slipknot still stay strong and continue this life and journey to make music. Long Live The Knot!!! Rip Paul!!!! 🤘💀🐐
R.I.P. #1 Joey Jordison as well !!!! In the early EARLY years him and Joey were really close. Shaun, Paul, and Joey started it all. Joey suggested the name Slipknot, designed the iconic tribal S logo, and wrote a lot of the songs on self titled and Iowa (probably MFKR also) R.I.P. #1 - R.I.P. #2
I would give almost anything to have a stage worn clown mask. I've been a fan since 1999, and in my opinion clown has almost always had the best one in any era.
Could Slipknot ever lose the masks, I'll tell you right now, no. Why, because that's their image, that's what the fans know, that's the 1st thing people think of when someone says Slipknot. If they got rid of the masks, the shows wouldn't be the same.
Question 1: How do you choose how to wear the mask Clown: Well let me tell you about all the wacky names people can call me by for the next million hours
Look I know everyone has a different opinion on band members and what not, but to me, Shaun has proven to be a big reason why some of the band mates don’t get along and why there has been so many disputes. He is so business minded and In turn as a con to that mentality, he’s sacrificed a lot of relationships within the band. To me, yea he’s had a big part of the bands success. But! He’s really no different to a Chris or a Sid in terms of value and creativity sonically or sounding. People like Joey, Paul, corey and Jim have had the biggest impact on slipknots success. This is my opinion.. I think clown is overrated.
Oh man I would absolutely love to write a track with, Either Shawn Aka Michael, or Corey, that’s a dream I had for a long time. He literally sounds like me when I start to explain how I write music, I could write a song with the timing of water drops from a faucet. Lol I hope he sees this.
It really never ceases to amaze me how much fame goes to some metal artist's heads. You never know what you're going to get with these guys. Sometimes you get a totally down to earth personality like Tool's Maynard, other times you get Mozart the Clown here.
Wikipedia says his oldest daughter died of a drug overdose in May, 2019, at age 22. I doubt it. But is that true? I feel like he’d say something about it… if it were true.
Fred Minnick that is awesome my man, and I know looks are definitely deceiving. I’ve got a friend who is in the medical field, but when you see him outside of work he looks like he would be some sort of biker.
24:19 yea but music in 96hz that is vinyl is so low sounding, but cd sound is way louder without loss quality. i cant listen vinyls because they too low sounding. but maybe with amplifier its gonna be wonderful but i have no amplifier and so i dont listen music with it
You obviously have no idea how to some people putting on a mask can unleash a beast within you or help you with things like stage freight. Coming from someone who deals with both I can easily say wearing a mask helps you out and can also help become more creative
