ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS TRUCK!!! Associated guy forever, but this Tekno mini Truggy is ez to drive ,durable, and and ez build. I love it and making me look at Tekno 1/8 scale Truggy. The video was great. The Et41.2 is out now and it’s great.
Just what we need....more unnecessary race classes in an already saturated market. Lol Real talk though, it’s a cool truck, but we should have never gotten rid of 1/10 stadium class.
2WD stadium trucks are still around. They're not the huge thing they once were (and ROAR can eat a bag of dicks for killing off the class on a national level), but a decent number of tracks still run them and pretty much all of the major 1/10th scale racing brands make one - even Schumacher.
@@beachlyfe710 If you're not talking about touring cars I'll believe it when I see it. Sadly very few people are buying nitro models in general, and when they do they inevitably end up with a 1/8th scale buggy or truggy or a supposedly "1/10th" scale monster truck that's proportioned like a 1/8th scale model with a narrow body. 1/10th scale Nitro touring is still around but only because it's still an IFMAR supported class, and 1/10th scale nitro stadium trucks are only still around because Traxxas doesn't want to kill off the Nitro Rustler. A handful of tracks run nitro STs as well but most nitro-compatible off-road tracks have been built to cater so much to the big 1/8th scale vehicles that you can't even get a 1/10th scale model, nitro OR electric, around the track in one piece. Sadly, my heavily modified and race prepped JATO 2.5 is going to have to remain on the shelf.
@@VestedUTuber Im in FL 1/8 gas is still heavy n Ignite has very making gas conversions for associated n losi they are selling out quick. Im about to go back to a nitro buggy 🤙🏾 check out ignite though.
@@beachlyfe710 1/8th nitro buggy and onroad is never going to die because the classes are internationally supported and there's a lot of money in professionally racing those classes. As for the conversion kits, that's great for the Associated and Losi guys, but I mostly drive Schumacher in 1/10th scale so I'm kinda out of luck. I'd have to run my old JATO. I used to run Losi but I switched after they started doing the whole "you have to buy a new car every year" thing. Schumacher also has frequent updates but their cars tend to be future-proofed better.
Fantastic review. The off road 1/8 track is where I would using mine since really that's all we have here. And to see it out on the dirt was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks! And subscribed!
It is a funny looking thing, looks like it's hit a wall full force in the face and stayed like that lol, the back looks like the front 😁 nice internals though 👍 great video review my friend ☺👍☺👍
Hey Dean, I was gonna get the EB410 n was gonna start getting into racing at my lhs indoor carpet track, but now this has came out I seen a guy running his (clear body still guy must of been excited to run it) n the thing looked so good racing around that track, made me rethink my choice of buying the EB410 cus now I kind of want the et410 as long as there’s a class I could race it in, great review brotha!
Ok, two years later and I have to make a correction. There's also the HoBao Hyper TT10e. And despite that being a decade-old platform now it's actually surprisingly still viable, at least on dirt. Still seems like this class hasn't really taken off, though. I guess they do run it in some areas now but apparently most racers are allergic to stadium trucks. _shrug_
The rear kicks out for sure in the minimal traction on the outdoor track. Did you run the Double Dees on the carpet? I run those on my 4WD SCTE 3.0 outdoors at the 8th scale tracks.
i dont understand his one complaint at the end about the FAN mount .. it has a top and side option or run two fans ... its perfect ( or maybe he customized his in this video ?) .... still a great review , Tekno makes good stuff
The body looks like a box shipped by UPS or FedEx, crunched. What ever happened to smooth, flowing bodys, even if they have to have this "cab forward" design?!
Body covers the shock towers (at least the front ones) or at least it's SUPPOSED TO but Pro-Line and JConcepts started making ROAR-illegal "Bruggy" bodies and until recently ROAR turned a blind eye to them, longer suspension arms, bigger and more importantly wider tires, and the 1/8th scale ones also have longer wheelbases.
I want tekno to be my first kit. I really want the et410 but it is on backorder. Should I wait until it comes out of backorder or should I get the eb410.2, which is $30.00 cheaper than the et410?
It just doesn't seem like this class is taking off. This and the XRAY XT4.2 are the only racing vehicles available for the class and the only other option is the Traxxas Rustler 4x4.
Please someone help me, I want to buy the losi 8ight rtr nitro buggy and on the unboxing you left a battery charger on the description but I looked at the connectors and they look different, can someone tell me what to do
That’s a decent outdoor track. Real offroad needs to have some bumps, loose dirt, jumps and maybe some elevation changes. Not the bullshit blue groove, sugared or astroturf. They take the fun out of offroad. Maybe that’s why rc racing is struggling. The fun factor isn’t as good due to tracks, and ripoff prices. Tekno is alright price wise, but always one of the best racing and bashing brands. Almost everyone else have made their 10th and 8th scale offroad $100 more. For Kyosho, way more than that for slow unresponsive steering and not the best quality. This rc business is just as bad as mechanics charging extra for problems that were never there. Can’t believe the Orion esc is sold for almost $400, and the program card price almost doubled. Just look at the duffle bag prices, containers, trays, any tool that you could buy with quality just as good or better at lower prices outside of hobby shops. Not just amazon or Home Depot that sells the same stuff with higher quality and lower prices. This is a fun hobby, but most people willing to dish out that kind of cash are hillbillies. It’s like buying a small bottle of water for $50. A set of 6 3mm nuts costs $12, connectors and o rings all so expensive, but are much, much cheaper and just as good on fpv drone shops.
wow, i reaĺly like the sound of that motor and the tranny, it sounded so smooth, the only thing i dont care to much is the front of that trugy, not to aerodinamique hey!! lol lol it sounded awsome😎😎😎
The body seems to be bigg but tekno been doing really well for a couple year old company an there products seem to be durable an the fact is you get what you pay for so I guess rcmadness is the knew test track?
Love the platform, body however..... looks like engineer smoked joint, drank 6pack beer, snorted Columbian yay-o then designed body & that body design was accepted
Got to be one of the most nasty ugly rigs I have seen. I watched some guys at the track run them they run nice. But I can't spend my money on a rig that ugly!!!!
